Jesus, it seems apart from Pablosammy, every Tranmere fan seems to be trying to outdo the last on what level the lad is...started as best in League One, then Championship standard, then Prem standard. Come on lads, he's not getting games for mid-table League One Sheff United and has been loaned out to a club in the National League for gawd's sake.

This collective Tranmere hardon for the lad is going to be hilarious when he limps off after 15 minutes into his first game.

Mid table is an interesting description for a side in 3rd

Very strange signing at Macc in 36 year old Richie Wellens. No idea why we've done this unless Askey has seen Mitch Hancox working well in a deep lying midfield role and decided he wants a natural DM to do it better. Don't see the point in it myself.
Showed some class in his short spell at Salford, but struggled with the part-time training so hopefully Macc will suit him more.

Rhys Murphy and Aarran Racine gone on months loan to York.
Not massively surprised by either based on their current form.

Murphy I rate and always scored against us Racine not a clue about?
Murphy & Parkin up front is a massive improvement on what we have had this season

Wasn't Murphy going to score 40 this season?
Only to the deluded. Can finish But has gone off the boil and I doesn't offer much else if he's not scoring (i.e. minimal interplay with midfield, holding up ball, workrate average compared to Doidge), plus got a new striker in. Also Kieffer Moore seems to have found form on loan, so probably hoping for same here.

Racine has been around the club for a long time and while he's a decent Conference centrehalf, Clough and Pinnock are better and I think he gets found out against the better strikers (or even his opposite number as Raggett showed). Though ironically Pinnock probably had his worst game of the season against Wrexham.

Apparently so, him and Tubbs were going to tear this division apart. 40 each MINIMUM we were told.

12 between them so far, only another 68 to go.....

It hasn't worked out, shoot me. Better to have belief in new players rather then label them as shite the minute they walk in the door.

How many shit signings for FGR and Eastleigh in the past 12 months? I think Tranmere have also had a few duffers in that time too.
In fact, almost any team that can offer big wages at this level has invariably wasted the money on dross.
The best players are rarely the ex-league players on their way down, but the younger talents on their way up.

So in the last week we have signed a defender and a striker, let a goalkeeper and striker leave permanently, loaned out a keeper, a defender and a striker, had another striker return from a loan spell, are looking at another keeper and will maybe make another signing before the Trophy game.

Good to see Coops being proactive.

So this isn't a cynical ploy by FGR lending decent players to Rovers' opponents in the hope of putting a spoke on our wheel? One of our forums seems to have decided that's the masterplan from The New Lawn.

Murphy's been a disappointment, but Racine looked half decent last season.

Neither Racine or Murphy have been good enough this season to make it a cynical ploy.

We're all so excited by these signings that our forum appears to have collapsed.

They probably don't have to be world beaters to be better than what we already have and hopefully drag us to something like mid-table respectability, which is just about the frozen limit of our expectations at this point.

What, since last week? Over the last calendar year I think we're well past that, more like 60.
