Signing Norwood could be a real coup for Tranmere. On his day he's unstoppable at this level, just needs to be managed well.

Norwood is an excellent signing for Tranmere. Always looked very decent whenever I have seen him play.

I'm glad you said that. Looks like the summer has started promisingly.

Sorry to dampen your spirits a touch, but he never impressed in a Wrexham shirt. Dreadful in the Chester game and correctly released.

Would imagine doing deals this early that they will both be Gateshead players. Durrell will be going to Tamworth.

When did Durrell even last play? Correctly released, I think.

Would like us to get Durrell in. Surprised he didn't do better at Wrexham.

We've signed up defenders Jordan Tunnicliffe and Tyrone Williams, and attackers Ahmed Obeng and Jamie Spencer from last season's squad. All youngsters who haven't featured too much, but I'm particularly pleased with Tunnicliffe and Obeng, who look like they could be good at this level.

We've also signed midfielder Calvin Dinsley from Redditch United. I know nothing about him, but he was apparently on Cambridge's books for a while. These are the kind of signings that Whild specialises in, so I'm hopeful.

Matt Rhead seems to have been confirmed everywhere other than the OS.

Not exactly chuffed, but he generally caused us problems. If we can sort Beevers, Marriott, Riley, Sutton, Green, Meikle etc out, too, then we've cracked it!

Surprised we have signed him on a 2 year deal but guess that's one reason why he turned down a contract at Mansfield to join us, that and more first team football. All depends who else is coming in but I doubt we will be a small side next season?!

Also confirmed that Lee Beevers has returned to the club and put pen to paper on a 2 year deal. Looks like we going for all ex Stags today. Pretty happy with Lee as a defender to be honest and gives us a lot of experience.

Pleased with Beevers, providing we keep him away from CB unless we really have to because I think he's better at full back. He can cover across the back four and he played in midfield a few times for us in his first spell so a bit of versatility there.

Rhead's signing will depend on who we end up with to partner him. Someone like Ben Tomlinson would be ideal...:animatedf:

DSY got 7 goals last season and Burrow 10, not sure Rhead will get that many, time will tell of course.
Pleased with Beevers as long as his shoulder doesn't pop out!!!

Lee Beevers is a good defender in the conference, can play various positions and will run into a brick wall for you, useful player.

Same goes for Rhead - if you have a fast, pacy forward, wingers of attacking midfielder around him he will work wonders, the reason Green scored so many goals. but like so many of our squad last season, unfortunately where they will be good enough in the conference, they just aren't league standard - I was surprised Rhead was offered a new contract in the first place.

In one sense I am sad to see them leave, in another i'm not - but 2 decent signings for Lincoln

Big relief that Rhead decided to join Lincoln, Murray offering him a contract was a stupid decision I don't agree with this 'he's a good plan b' at league level.

Should been decent enough for you though, same with Beevers who has been a warrior for us.

Greg Tempest from Notts County has also joined.

Three utterly mid-table signings, the status quo continues.

Rhead will do well, Not going to score no more than 7/8 though. I wasn't arsed whether we kept him or not, He does offer something different but I'd rather us leave the long ball behind us all together. Surprised you've offered him 2 years!

Tempest sounds as though he showed enough at Boston to warrant being a bit too good for that level, but it's a big step up IMO. We've seen that with Robinson who went there on loan and was too good for that level, too.

He's shite. Nice lad but fuck knows how he stayed with us so long, probably the fact he kept getting injured but whenever he played he was a bit of a calamity (out of position at left-back admittedly). He seems to be one of those players that's technically good, I'm sure he's impressive on the training field because he's got a very good left foot and that but he's really bizarrely ungainly, he's got no pace, runs a bit strangely and is hardly the most physical player either so I don't think anyone can work out if he's a central midfielder or a winger.

I hope he does well though and proves me wrong.
