Eric Bailly cost Villarreal £4.4m in Jan 2015 and Man Utd £30m 17 months later.

That's either terrible negotiating or representative of generally bad and lazy scouting across the Premier League (A few exceptions aside, Kante etc).

martial was 5m euros in 2013 and 36m euros in 2015 he worked out well enough so far. Imagine how good he'll be when LVG isn't sucking all the life out of everything

also the £30m is apparently after addons. not that it still isn't a lot of money. whether it's a good deal or not will depend on how he does in the next few years

There's no need for that Bilo. It wasn't long ago you were berating people for pisstakes as above instead of debating properly. Apologise.

Juanmi has left us and joined Real Sociedad. What a pointless signing he was...

Apparently Mourinho wants Nani back at Utd and Nani has agreed terms... makes no sense bringing in an old player who has never been consistent

No post in this thread should start with "apparently".

United have tons of money. Who cares if they overpaid? Not them.

Sofiane Feghouli signs for West Ham, free transfer. Confirmed on Sky/West Ham.

From reputation alone, could be a cracking signing and on a free as well. Would much rather have gone for him as a replacement for Moses than spending overboard on another right-sided winger/midfielder. Great value.

Feghouli can be very good indeed. Does like a dive though.

Presumably means West Ham's interest in Matt Ritchie as another right sided midfielder/winger comes to an end.

Yeah we're pretty loaded on that side now.

I hope it's not a long-term thing to keep Antonio at right-back (though he's performed surprisingly well there), so there's now Feghouli, Antonio plus Lanzini who's often placed there too.

Been off the boil for a few seasons now. Mind you so have Valencia. Definitely worth a go though if he can rediscover his best form and a player I'm surprised more sides haven't gone for.

Since the Feghouli signing only Bernado Espinosa has come in. Middlesbrough have signed him from Gijon, don't know too much about him, will be interested to see how he does tbh.

We've been linked with him for the last couple of years. Seemed like a good player but no idea how he'd fair in the PL.

Alberto Paloschi has gone back to Italy after a pointless spell at Swansea. 2 goals in 10 isn't what most Swans would have wanted for £8million hahahaha. With Eder gone as well I think a new striker is definitely coming in.

Feghouli is a great signing on a free.

We've signed Luis Hernandez the ex-Sporting Gijon centre back on a free. Presumably so we've got more money to throw at Watford.

Wanyama to Spurs finally confirmed.

Hope we do better at replacing him than we did when it came to replacing Schneiderlin.

Sadio Mane confirmed at Liverpool.

Consistency is the main concern but I've got the confidence in Klopp to work on that. Very happy with the signing as hes exactly the kind 1FF player we need.

Good signing. He was unplayable at times last season under a manager he had issues with.

Fantastic piece of business. Better value for money than Baily, Deeney and Batshuayi who were all signed for/quoted for over 30 million pounds.

Fantastic is pushing it - he's a good player, potentially very good if Klopp can get some consistency out of him.
