I was knackered last night so didn't see any matches, very happy Peru got the win though! I think the other neutrals on here should adopt Peru as their second team this tournament! :D

With this victory of Peru it's all or nothing on the last game of groups phase for everyone of this group. I thought it would be different but it ended up being the most balanced group of the competition.

Best 11 of this matchday has been released. It looks very accurate, Cuadrado, Sanchez, Vidal, Aguero, Vuoso, and Quinonez all deserve to be in it. Caceres probably deserved it more than Zabaleta, and I don't know why Messi is there.

Ecuador leading Mexico 1-0 at HT, Bolanos with the goal. Set up for an cracking second half, Mexico have to go for it obviously but Ecuador can't afford to sit back when a GD of -2 won't be enough in all likelihood

Penalty Mexico! Good to see a ref actually give one of those, his arms were all over him.

Scored 2-1

According to footballitalia, Neymar is banned for 4 matches. Bein just now said it as well.

Bit excessive if true that! Thought 2 games would have sufficed, to rule him out of the rest of the tournament is very harsh

A message to Mexico, stop sending your B team, or don't participate. You couldn't win it regardless and you wont win the Gold Cup.

That was one of the most pathetic defensive displays I've ever seen from any team ever. Ecuador deserved win, and Mexico bottom of the group.

Yup, they could and probably should have won by more. Don't think they've done enough, need either Uruguay to lose by 2 or 2 heavy defeats in Group C

Bloody hell, that really scuppers Brazil's chances of making it out of the group, let alone try to win the competition - unless mighty Coutinho steps up, they are going to be in the shit!

Coutinho is not Neymar though. He's a great player but he's not at the level of Neymar.

As I said, I think Venezuela will beat Brazil, even without Amorebieta. Brazil are absolutely terrible without Neymar.

Agree about Coutinho not being Neymar, the latter is definitely their talisman and I'm with you, I think Venezuela will at least draw with them in the final group game.

Just saw the post match incident with Neymar and Bacca; its way ott for Neymar to get 4 games for that! Its all a load of handbags anyway, just kids stuff.

Sanchez makes it two with an Andy Gray style diving header.

Neymar out for the rest of Copa América can be worrying for Brazil in the future of the competition if we pass this phase. But it's about time to stop with the "Neymar dependence".

Vargas misses a sitter; Bolivia better be careful, they are in danger of getting routed here.

I hate to say it, but Chile has been the best team by far.

Seems harsh to make the ban 4 for Neymar, but 3 would have been fair given the ball kicking and attempted headbutt.

Chile and Bolivia are through. Bolivia were only impressive against Ecuador and will probably lose to anyone who finishes runner up in group C.

Marcelo Moreno Martins is by far, the best player on the team but he seemed angry last night and tried to play by himself which may end up being a downside for Bolivia. I have a feeling everyone will want to finish second now in group C.

Bolívia is not convincing me either (though until now I just could keep an eye in Chile and Argentina). But I am curious about group C, it will be an interesting dispute to get the classification.

Bolivia might be the poorest team to make it through to knockout.

Fell asleep for the second half but Bolivia it seemed did get routed. Dunno whether to watch Uruguay tonight, they can be dreadfully dull at times. Will be watching the Argentina match later though hopefully with Hudson in company!

Dull is a bit harsh. They had to play a very defensive Jamaica side and Tabarez went to defend against a superior Argentina side. Today, both teams will go out to win, so I say watch.

Fucking Tabarez. Not starting De Arrascaeta again. When will he realize that is the player they need to be creative?

Match ends 1-1. Most likely Uruguay will face Chile in the knockouts (or is it confirmed)

I think the quarters will look like this.

Chile - Uruguay
Peru - Bolivia
Argentina - Colombia
Venezuela - Paraguay

A bit optimistic putting Peru up there, but what the hell hahaha
