Can't see anything other than a home win but looking forward to a day out via Birmingham for a few beers.

I don't think we'll lose actually. I think we are probably better suited to playing away right now, certainly defensively.

I'm in two minds whether to go with it being a new ground for me.

Debut for Herd likely with SEB back up front.

I reckon we'll go,

Lee

Jones
Evatt
Hird
Herd

Morsy
O'Neil

Novak
O'Shea
Gardner

SEB

Definitely stronger that recent weeks.

Get yourself there! More suppoer the better! If we line up like that it looks 10x better than last week already!

Just finishing work now, so making a late decision to go to this. Any advice on parking Cov fans? Cheers

Got a bad feeling today , so im going with a 2-1 defeat and will be pleasantly suprised if we win lol.. partly because i was so expectant last week , i hate that deflated feeling

2-2 draw. Both teams have good attacking options but poor defences. Obviously Ebanks-Blake will score.

I expect our defence to be better starting from today. Herd, I think, will make a big difference as will Banks being replaced (I presume) in midfield if O'Neil is fit.

Negative horrible shite. SEB cant do shit if we just kick the ball over his head every time.

Excellent performance. Should have been more than just 1-0. Kent, Fleck and Ricketts excellent. Murphy MOTM.

Could have been 5-0 on another day, I'll take 3 points and a clean sheet.

That was shite CFC. Big boot up-field and chase it, no idea.
Thank god for Tommy Lee.
Did we have a shot on target or make Burge make a decent save?
1600+ there last year ........841 this season, tells its own story, worrying times ahead.

Yep that was frankly atrocious and not at all what we have been used to. Our lot were strolling around like it was some sort of preseason game...absolutely no urgency in our play whatsoever and the casual play at the back was hugely alarming.

3-0 still probably wouldn't have been sufficiently reflective of the game. The only player to come out with any credit for us was Lee, who is clearly back to his best this season. Morsy was lucky not to get sent off, Jones was dreadful, O'Shea faded after a bright start, SEB was hopelessly isolated and the centre halves played like they barely knew each other. Most concerning for me was the tempo...why slow it down and play it sideways/back all the time? Even during our best part of the game (the first fifteen minutes) we did nothing to actually threaten the goal.

Come on Town, we're better than this.

PS Cap duly doffed to the Cov attackers Kent and Murphy who were excellent today. Kent is a proper slippery little fooker, and Murphy is clearly a very good player.

This was the kent goal that was given as offside , it was a great move and completely opened up chesterfields back 4 .. as said before should have been a bigger scoreline IMG_20150919_220234.jpg

That Morsy was a right dirty bastard. How he stayed on the pitch I'll never know.

Yeah the number 5?

Very good victory. Should have been more but we'll take the three points.

We were awful, worst i've seen us for some time. Could have got done 3/4-0 on another day. More werid subs and tactics from DS and half the team looks stupidly unfit.

He's really not. Very occasionally frustration causes the red mist to descend but 99% of the time he's hard but fair.
