How many games have we dominated this season and failed to win? On another day we would have put those chance away would we? Well when's that day going to come because I'm getting sick of watching all these games we supposedly should have won where we're only picking up 1 or 0 points.

And it's hardly ridiculous to suggest we're going to go down. All it takes is a loss next week at Crawley with Notts County and Crewe winning their games against teams with absolutely nothing to play for. Our record against the teams around us is shocking, and so is our record in game of a high importance.

I hate Crewe, is there a point to their existence other than to piss off Coventry?
Can't wait till a season where we don't have to play Crewe

We have enough to stay up but emulate that performance again on Saturday and we're fucked. Not enough players look at all arsed about playing for this club and it's embarrassing. We should be miles clear of relegation and the fact that it's going to go down to the last day is disgraceful.

I'm talking about you overreacting and saying we're going down when all we need is a point away at Crawley. Under Mowbray, we have beaten P'boro, Chesterfield and Fleetwood away as well as drawing with Bristol City. A point against a Crawley side that threw away the lead twice is hardly out of the question is it.

I added more to my post after you replied but look at our record away at teams below us so far this season, it's not great. It all depends on how Crawley play though. The reason we've been able to win the majority of these away games under Mowbray is because the opposition teams have gone out and attacked us. We can't break down a team to save our lives, as shown in the majority of our home games this season.

Well the scenario suits us then as Crawley need to win and we don't

Steve Davis got everything right today. Just to give him credit where it's due, the switch in formation to regain control of the game worked brilliantly.

He got everything right bar the decision to start Coco as a number 10. Once he rectified that mistake, things looked a lot better.

We struggled the first 15 minutes, but once we got our noses in front we never really looked in any danger of capitulating. The most pleasing aspect of todays win was the second half performance. Yes we sat back, but we also kept counter attacking and managed to get a crucial 3rd. Massive 3 points given the results of Notts C and Colchester.

Thought every player to a man was excellent, bar the 2 subs. Haber is working his balls off every game and if we get him some half decent service in the form of crosses, he could be a half decent goal threat for us next season. LDV is also getting better, has 4 in 9 starts now. Same with him, some service and he could be a double figures player next season easily. If Coco is still with us next season, same detail. That front 3 could do some damage if fit(both in terms of injuries and fitness) and properly supported.

Today showed how badly we'll miss Grant next season I think, he won the free kick for the 2nd goal, made the pass of the season for Ollie Turton to cross for the 3rd and then got Johnson to make 2 poor challenges against him, both which made a big difference in the final few minutes of the game. He's a winner and if he doesn't stay(as I suspect he won't), we have to replace him with someone of a similar ilk. Never thought I'd be so taken with him given my initial thoughts on him last season.

George Ray was immense in the middle of the back 3, had a great game today. Guthrie was solid as he generally has been when called up and when played in his best position, LCB. Biggest difference for us today was the fact our 2 full backs were much more aggressive in getting forward, helped us massively. How a 3-5-2/5-3-2 should be played tbf.

This win gives us a great chance of staying up next week. A point might do it, a win definitely will. Hopefully we can get the job done and stay up, I want to be in this division next season!

Fuck Sake Crewe! Stop doing this to us. I'd give anything for a boring comfortable season (in this league) next year, my nerves and mental strength have been severely battered in the last two.

Not going to pick out anyone in particular because I thought everyone played a massive part. Although I will point out that Granty should have been captain in Toots absence, look natural when called upon today.

The whole trip cost me £23.. A pound more than it will cost me to attend a home game next year, makes it even more sweet.

Coventry were beyond poor I thought, we didn't even have to play all that well to win, the 1st two goals were gifted to us but a great ball by Grant to make the 3rd. But Coventry were toothless going forward and even more shaky than us at the back. Johnson is great in the air but a donkey when we played it around him on the floor.

Another great away day in Coventry, can we plan you every week?

You can if you want, but it's a long way to come on a weekly basis.

Outstanding game, two of my best away days have now come against Coventry. Have to say the Coventry fans were great yesterday, still trying to get behind the team at 2-0. Not as good as the Alex fans though, we had another party at the Ricoh!

I concur, I was impressed how the Coventry fans stayed behind the team (the ones that didn't leave ridiculously early anyway)

Also, I thought Reda Johnson?? Coventry's number 5?? had an absolute mere yesterday, every time one of our forwards closed him down he panicked and kicked it out....

All I heard pre game from Coventry was how good Reda Johnson is, hes very good in the air but apart from that he looked a donkey.

Poor game from him yesterday. Usually reliable and scores every few games.

Shame he's prone to the odd mistake and gets injured every 76 minutes.
