Mowbray's first game in charge. Sadly I'll be missing it as I'm going to a stupid applicants day at Leeds to do the same thing I did a few months ago. Anyway, I'd line up like this:

Burge

Phillips Pennington Martin Stokes

Turgott O'Brien Fleck Odelusi

Nouble Samuel

Prediction: 2-0 win

Should be looking to win this, thankfully we wont have the same abysmal line up we played against Coventry at home which was a horror show! Despite losing yesterday we haven't conceded in open play for 6 and a half hours now so that's a positive to take into the game. Win this and safety is all but assured and with a tough game up against Swindon its important we do.

1-0 Vale Moore with the goal and 1900 Vale travelling I reckon.

I'd start Tudgay and Barton still.

Hopefully a slightly bigger crowd than usual. If 1500 Vale come, then maybe 11k with the excitment of TM.

Probably the most excited I've been for a game since the Ricoh return.

Weve sold the initial 500 plus the follow up 300 tickets and waiting for 400 more. to come in plus the pay on day fans, any less than 2k would be disappointing.

Yep but this is Vale, every time we get the chance to get a top 6 spot we choke! We will probably be ok Saturday now we have dropped off again!

Is this Port Vale first visit to the Ricoh?

i am 48 and can never recall in my lifetime playing Coventry, went to Highfield road twice to see Man City and Everton years ago just to go the ground, looking forward to saturday tempered by last nights poor display. Back in December Coventry won at a canter so lets hope a different Vale turn up with a decent following expected.

Wasn't Pope, Lines and O'Connor all missing from that game? Not helped by the latter two's idiotic discipline!

Despite it being your first trip to the Ricoh, I still think 1500 would be a good turnout.

That was a real smash and grab from us that day.

Not really, its down the road we took 2200 sell out to Wolves so anything less to Cov would be poor.

Pope had his worst game for us, openly tweeted about it but harsh on Oakey who has been superb lately and along with Dicko and Inniss was probably one of the few who can feel they put in a decent effort last night.

Saturday i'd bring Dodds in for Williamson to give us more in the midfield but still an attacking force and possibly take Brown out who looked shattered after playing a lot lately, maybe for Lines.

It would be about the third highest away following at the Ricoh this year in the league if you managed 1500 (behind Bristol and MK).

It's good as a general but considering we took 1500 to Sheff United where we had visited 4 times in 6 seasons past seasons Id expect far more to a closer game at a new stadium for many myself included to tick off. ( Only L1 ground I'm yet to visit). We've sold 800 out that were given (300 in last two days) and many will pay on day I guess so should be a good following. Hopefully our moron element won't travel but sadly this is the type of game they'd normally head too.

The biggest threat to our away support on Saturday is that we're in a run of 4 Saturday away games in 5 weeks although this is probably the 1 people will choose ahead of the others with it being a new ground and pretty local.

When I watch that video, it makes me wonder why on Earth about 75% of the people in the ground that night don't turn up more often.

Sad to think that despite some positivity this week, that there will only be a maximum of 10,000 Coventry fans at the game Saturday.

Get where you are coming from PUSB , but i think once the initial enthusiasm wanes its back to the hard core, we are getting less than we were 2 years ago in League 2, the other night we had an horrendous attendance yet had we won could of gone into top 6 other results permitting. I think Cov,s crowds are decent given league position and no doubt were you at the top 14,000 is a realistic average, most who went against Gillingham were just the ' i was there ' brigade. Glad that the horrific move to the dump Sixfields is in the past and hopefully Cov can get back to something like ( after we take 3 points hopefully ), nowt so fickle as football fans, still bemused how we took a raucous 1000 to Notts County , 3 wins in a row 3 clean sheets in a row and no one seemed arsed on Tuesday.

I did expect a drop, but not one of 17000 in a week.

I wouldn't drop Tudgay. We were awful after he went off on Tuesday.

I do like Tudgay but I get the feeling that Nouble is going to suit Mowbray's style of play a bit better tbh
