Its a reaction to the first 5 games, not just tonight's match. There's a point where doing nothing wrong, or just doing the basics isn't enough to warrant a place in the team.

To be fair, there are many awful keepers at this level, Burge isn't the worst keeper in the league. I prefer him over Allsop.

If all your happy for him to do is to save shots that are straight at him or pea rollers then yes he has been fine, I don't think that is good enough. Any keeper from the conference, L2 or academy level could do that.

It's the curse that all Cov keepers post-Westwood face. People hated Murphy in the Championship season. Alsopp was actually pretty good after Burge got sent off in the cup but no one ever acknowledges that. Burge was decent after Mowbray game in last season and hasn't even started the season badly but he's already been written off by most our fans. Even if we replaced him his replacement would probably get slagged off too after a few games.
