Well, another massive game for us after beating Colchester. Yeovil roll into town and we have to look to pick up another win which would take us just 15 points from safety. Team will likely be pretty similar to the one that played against Col U. Turton did well at RWB, so I'd imagine barring any injuries it will be the same again selection wise.

As for Yeovil, they did well in coming from behind to beat Crawley. Seems they've had a positive reaction since sacking Johnson, so it will be interesting to see if that continues here. Ajay Leitch-Smith bagged the winner as well, so I'm sure he'll return fired up to do well. Ugwu seems to have added some firepower upfront the and the likes of Hayter, Moore and Foley are all tricky players.

Going to be a tough game for us no doubt. It would be so typical of us to follow up a decent win with a poor performance and defeat. After the win against Colchester, this has kind of turned into a 'must not lose' game now. I would probably take a point if offered, but a win here would be excellent. Staying cautious and going 1-1, LDV and Ugwu to score.

Ill take anything but a loss here, we just need points ticking over and Crewe always seem to put in a poor performance after a good one. I can see Ajay putting in a good performance and scoring. Despite this I think we will win the game, LDV and Ajose will score....

Crewe Alexandra 2 - 1 Yeovil Town
Ajose, LDV Ajay
Attendance 3,955 (145 Yeovil)

The win at Colchester has taken a lot of the pressure off this game for us. Still a big game but not season defining which it would have been if we had lost to Col U. As long as we don't lose its not too bad a result, a win though and our league position starts took quite healthy with another winnable home game to come on Saturday at home.

Crewe 2-2 Yeovil (Ajose, Ness, Ugwu 2) 3,380 (107 Glovers)

Does Joel Grant still play for Yeovil? I've not heard his name for ages!

Saturday's win will have given us a massive boost and we showed fight which has been lacking all season, but we must get at least a point to back it up. I agree that this is definitely a 'must not lose'. We have also failed to build on good results this season so back to back wins would be huge
I assume that, barring any injuries, Skivo will stick with the 3-5-2 as it seemed to breathe new life into the team,
---------------Krysiak
-----Moore--Nugent--Arthurworrey
Shephard---Edwards---Foley---Smith
---------------Leitch-Smith
----------Ugwu----------Hayter

Going to be optimistic and go for 1-0 Leitch-Smith.

Yes he does, but like most of our top players he's been injured

Cold Tuesday night [kinda] 6 pointer, coming off the back of a decent performance and good 3 points, a chance to put real distance between us & the bottom four and kick on.

Crewe 0-2 Yeovil

Back training this week apparently, will be a huge boost to have him back with some key games coming up.

While I think we looked excellent in spells on Saturday, we were really helped by some generous Crawley defending, and I don't expect Crewe to be as forgiving.

While a Yeovil win could bring most of the table back into the relegation fight such is the ridiculous tightness of the table, I think a draw is most likely, leaving both managers pretty satisfied. 1-1

I was about to come and say it will be stance to go into a game as favourites to win as we haven't been for a while. But checked betfair 1st and they have Yeovil favourites??? Not fussed though, apart from the MK game, we've relished being underdogs recently. I was just shocked to find Yeovil as favourited with us being in decent form.

Ooooooh Nicky Ajose

I can't believe for one minute he couldn't do a job for a poor Leeds team.

We've missed a lot of chances, most notably Ajose hitting the post and missing twice when clean through.

This is made for a late equaliser.

Another massive win. Should have won by a lot more. If Ajose could finish he would play in the premier league as his movement is awesome.

On to Fleetwood at home and the march to the play offs continues.

Well, as per we made that a lot harder than it needed to be. Ajose scored 1 and should have had 4. 2nd half we should have been out of sight. Wasn't a pretty game, but we ground it out and deserved the win. Yeovil offered very little, couple of half chances and that was about it. Leitch-Smith was their best player, but they look in trouble tbh. Shaky at the back, not a lot upfront. Be interesting to see if Skiverton can keep them up.

Yeovil were very poor, we made hard work of it. For a player who has such a good scoring record, Ajose is such a terrible finisher.

One point off play-off chasing Port Vale now with a game in hand. I think this could be our year guys, return to Wembley.

Well that was about as straightforward as wins come - Yeovil could be playing now and not only would they not have scored, they wouldn't have even had a shot. Horrendously bad side. The only surprise is we didn't win 5 or 6-0. If Ajose could finish we'd have absolutely waltzed it.

The official Yeovil report saying they dominated large parts of play... Just no.

If Yeovil beat Crawley I'm looking forward to Crawley coming to Gresty Rd, they must be bad.

Uche would still be making life easier imo but aye we've adapted better than I expected to life without him. Haber's got to keep it going though.

I wouldn't say no to Uche back, but Ajose and Tate are more important players for us I think.

Ignoring Etheridge, the other 4 are way more important than Uche. Ajose is the only player capable of getting into decent scoring positions and whilst his finishing is a bit crap, he still has 7 in 11(8 if you count the 2nd Gills goal). Ness is the only midfielder capable of playing that advanced midfielder role. Grant can play the occasional through ball, but Ness is better at it. Leigh is the only player we have who can play LWB and Tate is the solid experienced head to lead the back 5. Take any of those 4 out and I think we'd struggle to score, create chances, play this current shape or maintain any sort of defensive stability.

But the problem we now have is, if get an extra striker back in like Steve wants, we have to risk having no backup keeper for a game. And whilst Garratt has never shown any fitness concerns, all it takes is one nasty contact or fall or mistake on his part and we are having to play a game without a regular keeper. May as well get Shearer back, he aint getting any game time at Burton and that way we can still have a backup keeper whilst getting another striker in on loan.
