The only game in L2 tomorrow. It’s our game in hand for when Crewe claimed international duty for a couple of u17’s.

Lose and whatever slim chances we have of getting automatic promotion are finished (although, they pretty much are, aren’t they).

Looks like Adam Clayton is match fit again. Can see us reverting back to 4312 - we’ve missed him.

GK: Harry Lewis

RB: Brad Halliday
CB: Sam Stubbs
CB: Romoney Critchlow
LB: Liam Ridehalgh

CM: Adam Clayton
CM: Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Alex Gilliead

AM: Jamie Walker

ST: Andy Cook
ST: Matt Derbyshire

1-0 City win.

I know Crewe have been strong at home of late, but we’re very good away from home.

2,200+ making the trip down.

A win sets up a massive game against The Champions on Monday.

Can’t believe we managed to lose to this lot Saturday. In complete control and they looked poor in the extreme.

Should be a stroll for you.

If Bradford don’t beat Crewe there needs to be an investigation - it could only be a far-east betting scam…

Not beating the teams we ‘should’ is just one of the various reasons we’re going to miss out on the autos, so this is far from a gimmie.
I would be happy with Firthy’s suggested 11, as long as Nevers and Costelloe are no where near the team we should have half a chance.
As it is, I do think we’ll get a result, a nervy 1-0, we don’t do comprehensive confident wins.

Can't be arsed with this game tomorrow myself. Hope it's the final time a whole load of our players either play or warm the bench for us at Gresty Road.

Wouldn't mind Bradford going up automatically myself. Hope they pip Northampton and Stockport to it, so wouldn't be arsed if we lost tomorrow at all.

Well I'm glad to see Crewe have won the last 5/6 at home. If that was the opposite record we would've been getting done 3-0 tomorrow.

We’ve been crap so often this season but one thing we’ve been good at is ending teams run of results, Doncaster and Northampton had both been on good home runs, Sutton had done well on the road at the time, Gillingham away the same, just a few recent examples.

There is no way I would drop man in form Scott Banks. He has been our best creative outlet by far recently, and has a goal in him

Aw yeah, didn’t notice the lack of Scott Banks, our best midfielder and a total given.

I was tempted to chuck him alongside Cook up front, but I think the 4312 without Banks is a damn sight stronger than the 4231 with Nevers on’t left and Banks on right - like playing with ten men.

Banks could be a very useful impact sub tonight.

Not sure I quite understand all the permutations but it seems some County fans want a Bradford win as it adds a little extra pressure on Northampton this Monday.

Personally I'd like to go to VP in the playoffs if we don't make third

Surely you want Bradford City to lose both their games and come to Mansfield in the play offs.

We draw, we've guaranteed play offs but can no longer reach Northampton in 3rd.

We win, we've the same points as you so there's two teams chasing down Northampton on the final day. But you have a far superior goal difference so unless Crewe pull a Scunthorpe/Bristol Rovers, then you're in the driving seat if Northampton slip up.

Edit: Lose and nothing is guaranteed other than no automatics for us. Those Stags can still catch us in that case.

Stockport are the only club I would fear on the playoffs, so if we can't do it automatically, hope it's you

Would hate Carlisle in the play-offs - our record up their speaks for itself. Their record down here speaks for itself.

Stockport - they don’t phase me. Our performance against them at home was pitiful. Which has clearly given their fans plenty of confidence should we meet them in the play-offs. Truth be told, I don’t think for a moment their club wants to come to VP in play-offs. It’s a different kettle of fish - something EP could never really deliver - no disrespect intended - as good their support is. I went to the game at EP and saw nothing special. Granted - my assessment on all those around us is based on two games. Blinkered view, granted.

Salford - I wouldn’t mind them. Beaten them home and away and I think they’d drop a bollock given the massive media wankfest/pressure.

Nope.

Our record against Mansfield is terrible. They have been very much a bogey team for us in recent years.

We didn’t concede a goal in the two games against Bradford this season and never really looked like doing so.

This is not me saying we’d beat Bradford but out of the two they would be my preference.

What's gone wrong with Nevers?

I saw him at West Ham u23 and he looked a real prospect. Personally thought he needed to be inside not outside but changed the game when he came on.

He had issues at Newport as well.

Aside from his pace, he doesn't look to have too much about him. Not seen him beat a man once, nor contribute anything at all in the final third. Looks far too raw at the moment.

Nevers not even in the squad. Abo Eisa returns which I'm not sure about. Don't rate him at all.

Where to start with Nevers, I’d be here all night (‘not league standard’ the short answer). Costelloe the same, he started Burnley’s first game of the season or something and I’ve never seen a player lose the ball so much in my entire life. Anyway, neither are even in the squad, my confidence for tonight has risen slightly.

Praise the Lord, neither Nevers or Costelloe in sight. Just hope Eisa lasts more than 5 minutes but I won't hold my breath.

2-0 Crewe. Enjoy the playoffs, Mansfield. Disgraceful performance from us. Absolutely disgraceful.

Can’t blame anyone who wants us in the playoffs, every game we have a crap 45. Just not good enough.

Can't be arsed anymore. Not working 70 hours a week to spunk it on these lazy fuckers.

Dan Agyei caused us problems this season in our three games with Crewe and has scored a few goals, pretty sure he is out of contract too - Can imagine someone in League One or Two who pays well will take a punt on him for sure.

Bet you're looking forward to ending your season with a bang when you smash us 5-0 on Monday
