Another tough away game but I think we might edge this 1 nil.

We've been in great form recently and now with a bit of a gap to the bottom we have a little less pressure on us which is always good. I'd expect the same team that played Yeovil. Fleetwood seem to be a tough side to beat, don't conceed many nor score many, a lot of single goal wins.

Crewe 1-1Fleetwood (Ajose, Sarcevic) 4,110 (200 Fleetwood????)

If we're serious about this play-off push then we must be looking for at least a point here.

I fancy our chances against anyone outside the top six when at home but considering recent results I think we can cope with a draw here. I imagine Ajose will get two or three clear cut chances, just depends if he can put one away.

Its certainly a winnable game (although a toughish one) IF we did win though and a few results go for us its crazy to think where we could be.

We won't move up the table much, the best we can go is 16th, but you are right, we could be 4 points off the play offs if every result goes our way.

Fleetwood have one of the highest wage bills in the league and have a few players that could cause us problems, but i think we can continue our good form and win this.

Crewe Alexandra 2 - 1 Fleetwood
Ajose x2 for us and Sarcevic for the Cod
Attendance: 4,165 (188 Fleetwood)

How many cod army are coming to the game?

I'd guess they have a top half wage budget.

Comfortable. Fleetwood looked handy going forward early on but once we got to grips with their forwards it was pretty plain sailing. Both ball from Ness for the goals were outstanding, him and Ajose are just lethal (And Ajose could be yet more lethal...). Defence just solid.

Definite buzz about this team.

Playing the best football I've seen under Davis. Ajose, Haber, Ness and Grant were all outstanding and we were defensively resolute too. A thoroughly professional performance against a side I expected would put up more of a fight against us. Fleetwood were very poor today I thought.

In particular how bad was Sarcevic today? Completely work-shy, anonymous and his corners were gash! Really don't think he'd be anywhere near our side if he stayed.

In this form Ness and Ajose are far to good for this level. They've also inspired the rest of the team, players that looked can completely inept earlier in the season now look decent league 1 players. I've never seen a team change as drastically as ours has since the start of the season.

I'm surprised he got a "warm welcome back" considering he was basically told to sod off for being a work-shy idiot. It kinda cheapened the "warm welcome back" Steve Macauley got, an actual bonafide Crewe legend.

Quite a few boos at the back of the Main Stand but I agree it was very mixed and less hostile much to my surprise and disappointment. Great to see Macca get some recognition though, a true legend we all can agree.

Watching Ness and Ajose at the minute is like going back about 12 years to Lunt and Ashton.

Grant is awesome tbf, I love him, even when we were utter tripe he was consistently top notch. He'd walk into most League One sides imo and be huge if he extends his contract. Am i right in thinking that there was a Stevenage fan or two on here who kept telling us he was useless? lol. SD's best permanent signing by miles. Admittedly not much competition but still absolutely brilliant.

Good win. These last 3 games have seen us play some excellent football and its been really pleasing to watch. Ajose is ridiculous, teams just can't deal with his movement. He is superb at pulling off defenders and getting in-between them. 8 in 12 officially for him. Glad Haber got a goal, he needed one seeing how he hadn't scored since October and that was from the penalty spot. 12 points off safety, need to see it home now.

"Town looked comfortably on top as they headed for the break, a defensive lapse gifting the hosts an opener.

It was Nicky Ajose, on loan from Leeds who did the damage, latching on to a hopeful long ball and drawing Chris Maxwell, cooly slotting past the Fleetwood keeper."

Fleetwoods review of the match? Hopeful long ball? you mean class through ball splitting your defence. Comfortably on top? Whats this reviewer on?
