Anyone got this on PC? I'm getting a new laptop this week, and this is definitely going to be the first game that I'll purchase on it.

Reviews of it look pretty good as well.

Have you got a link? Couldn't find much about this.

It's not the next episode of the Cricket Coach games is it? Used to play them years ago and loved them.

I have it and it is a challenge, especially the ODI games. This is the first ICC i've purchased since 2010 though so getting used to the One Day modes is probably just a me being new to the new systems hah.

I buy this most years, but I'm not going to get the new one until I manage to find a job. The ODI stuff is difficult, but other forms of the game tend to be easier. Although I do usually play it on the easy setting.

Does it have the county leagues still? I used to love this when I was younger, I thought they'd stopped making them.

It does I believe. Domestic level in India, England and Australia.

You can play as an IPL team, County teams and Australian state/big bash teams. I think the new one has also included the Indian first class competition. If you do well at a county, you'll get offered the England job.

You can also start as any of the test teams, play a world cup and I think old scenarios too.

Currently going for a third County Championship title in a row with my Somerset team in like the 2021 season. Attempting to reach a 4th T20 finals day in a row (SF, Winner, Runner Up) last season was England coach, allowed me to play the semi but then not the final due to England duties (despite the final being same day and England game in a few days...?!) And normally progress to at least Semi Finals in One Day Cup.

Must just be me that sucks at one dayers then haha. Had to restart my Glamorgan game as I royally screwed up by accidentally clicking declare without paying attention to what I was doing haha. Glamorgan are shocking on this game but it's all part of the fun. Believe we start with 0 stars for bowling that's horrific, only two stars overall.

I was looking at getting this just the other day. I've played cricket coach for a couple of years but was tempted to give this a go.

The only thing worrying me is that from what I've seen, it appears that you actually see a fair bit of the game in 3D. My laptop is quite old now and I'm not sure how it will handle graphics. My machine matches the minimum requirements, but only just.

Am I right to be concerned by the graphics? Seems an odd thing to think about for a management style sim game, but I don't want to shell out and it not work.

Technically while watching if you don't want to watch any highlights there is the option of none

Thanks. I've bought the game and so far it seems to be working OK, minus a slight glitch when I first loaded it up.

I do have another question though, and I'm not sure if I'm being really stupid now, but how do you know how good a player is? The first thing I'm asked to do is to make new signings, but all I can seem to find is player records or their personal information.

Am I missing something really basic?

Nah that's the joys of cricket captain, you have to judge based on their records. There is a slight trick to things though, the higher the wages they want the better they tend to be. Works the same for youth players too. That's just based on previous games of course, and i'm using the same basis for this effort.

Just started my second season with Glamorgan. Let Rudolph go and replaced him with Guptill. Signed up Holder for the T20 campaign this time around too. Also brought in Craig Meschede to boost my attacking flair, so hopefully he'll help hah.

I'm all at sea.

Do I have to worry about player contracts? If so, how do I see their contracts? How do I know if my overseas player is signed on just for T20 or for the whole season? ARGH!!!

End of each season you get a list of which players are out of contract and you automatically get first dibs on renewing their contracts before other teams can, if they reject your first offer then other teams can offer a contract. However I don't think I've ever seen a player turn down the requested wage before, so if you were to stick to that you'll get them I reckon.

On overseas players, if they are T20 only they will be faded out and say T20 or something. Otherwise overseas players are contracted for all games unless they are your reserve in which case they will be faded out again for every game your main overseas player is available.

I start each version of the game on easy and then move up to normal after 1 or 2 career saves.

Probably where I am going wrong then.

Never played it before, and I started one with Glos (who's bowling line-up is utter dog shit) and I've only won 2 or 3 games in about 12 (all forms).
