Crewe Twitter talking shite shocker.

It wasn't much different to the last 6 games other than the fact Saunders was fucking abysmal and Chesterfield took their chances.

All we can really take from the game is Kirk and Ainley looked good when they came on. Seeing as we're sacrificing any sort of success for the academy, we may as well fucking play them whilst we still have them.

Ah yes, forgot to mention another lightweight academy striker shocker. Seriously have no luck in that department because they're all built like 12 year olds.

Season is gone now, just play the fucking kids and give them valuable league experience rather than loan in other team's kids whilst giving our own kids 20 minutes off the bench every couple of weeks before celebrating them like £200K signings in the Summer when we've missed out on a dozen transfer targets.

Have to conclude that we are fully deserving of this mess. We lapped up everything the fans forum said. Only Charles Grant talked sense and sadly he didn't speak too often. We moan and groan yet the vast majority of fans believe what the board spoon feeds them. We won't accelerate change ourselves because no one has the interest or desire to form a group protest and most happy clap the mentally deficient sods off each week and Bowler genuinely believes Davis is the right man for the job. The club is well and truly fucked and it's a collective failure.

Davis is here next season and that's a fact. Most of us will vote with our feet and not renew our season tickets. I can't blame anyone who does that because, as I've found out in the last year or two, there are greater priorities than football in life, but it just shows how bleak the club's future is. The only thing that will change in the future is that league status, gates, the first-team budget and the average age of the squad will just go down.

The only way we'll save ourselves is if Hassall gets bought out, Bowler completely retires (which I suspect will happen after the buyout), Dario completely retires (only way he's leaving us is if it's in a coffin) Grant becomes chairman (he's open to changing the system but fat chance whilst Dario and Bowler are there) and Davis gets sacked (only happening if we're anywhere near the L2 drop zone next season). Only some of these instances will happen in the next year or two.

Biggest season in our history next season, and there are no emergency loan markets, no Ben Garratt and no Brad Inman to save us. To say the future is unclear would be an understatement of epic proportions.

Considering the last time we were in League Two when we only signed a backup goalkeeper in the Summer, our line-up for first game next season could easily be (3-5-2):

Richards (0 appearances) Turton (out of his depth at RB) Ray (brain dead CB) Nugent (best CB at the club but you know Steve thinks otherwise) Davis (injury prone, not terrible for L2 but overrated and overpaid) Guthrie (decent player but not a fullback) Bingham (crock) Jones (nothing without a Grant or a Ness alongside him) Ainley (promising but vastly inexperienced) Saunders (far too lightweight) Cooper (big time little shithouse who thinks he's made it but nowhere near strong or good enough for regular football)

That worries me greatly, the only experienced area would be our much-maligned defence which has a culture of allowing teams opportunities to score heavily past us each week. Surprise surprise all apart from Nugent have all been retained despite being key parts in the failures of the last few years. It's an area we truly need to gut and start over, which we'll never do under Steve Davis.

Fucking atrocious performance. Learned from Tuesdays debacle by only being 2-0 within 12 minutes this time, rather than 5 minutes. Well done lads, progress. Both goals were pathetic. Nugent tries to do it all himself by clearing a ball that Ajayi has, concedes a needless corner. Concede another corner, they work it short, into the box, SEB scuffs it in off the post. Well done to David Fox for not closing down the cross and well done to whoever was supposed to be marking SEB. 2nd goal, Guthrie make a horrendous mistake, trips over. Guy gets 1-on-1 with Bakayogo, skins him like he wasn't even there, square ball, tap in. Of course, neither CB thought to throw themselves at that and maybe attempt to clear it?

Abysmal start, yet again. In amongst all that, Haber misses a sitter from a corner and Bakayogo should have done better with a decent opening.

However, just like Tuesday, we sorted ourselves out and got back into it. Inman does well, keeps an attack alive and gets it to Bakayogo to score. But after that, 1st half was all Chesterfield. Our OS/media deluded fucks can talk all they like about us being the better side, only 1 team looked like scoring in that 1st half after we got our goal. Lucky to get in at 2-1 down.

2nd half, home crowd were starting to get a little nervous, so our team settled them right down by gifting Chesterfield a 3rd. Well worked, but our defending was once again shambolic. And it all stemmed from Nugent giving away possession from a foul throw, because he was trying to do it all himself. After that, they had a cushion and we never really looked like getting back into the game. Better team? Yeah, only because Chesterfield were happy to let us have the ball and try and break them down. Barely worked the keeper with the 20-25 minutes of pressure we had, couple of half decent efforts for Lee to make, but all in all, pretty comfy afternoon for them. Haber should have got one back, but missed another sitter. Ainley also got the ball across the goal line, but Haber doesn't react like a normal centre forward, he was sat at the far post waiting for a chipped cross as fucking per.

We lost today because we gifted them goals and they were one of the few teams to take them and say 'thanks very much'. Almost all of the players failed to the basics right and it led to a shambolic performance. Fox was awful, 2 CBs were shaky, Saunders looks lost, Inman didn't do anything right other than creating the goal. But the problem is, we have nobody else available to step up and do anything when Inman is not on his game. He isn't good enough for us to rely on him every week, but we have nothing else. We are going down, hard to argue with that. But if those deluded morons who run our club believe we still have a chance, we need to get in a winger and a striker right now! Saunders aint going to cut it and we need an alternative winger option that isn't a LB/2nd year scholar. Awful from us, from back to front.

As for Chesterfield, they did what they had to do to win, but they looked poor today. They were just helped by the fact that they played an even more inept side. But I do wonder if this win will mask their problems for a week. Against a side that isn't a complete shambles, they might well have lost today. All my other gripes have been covered. We are run by blinkered idiots who think that plan a is the only way to go, balls to considering any other alternative. Shambles on the pitch, shambles off it. Excellent.

We don't kid ourselves it was a game we'd have won against someone half decent.

Massive 3 points, wasn't a bad game either. Crewe had a lot of the ball and looked okay at times without really threatening. Much better from is though - Dimaio, Novak and the kid from Cardiff were excellent for us. Did worry when I saw Banks was starting but he had a good game too.
