Crowd’s are back?

So BoJo announced that crowds might be coming back depending upon which Tier a city is in. Not sure how I feel about this. Obviously I want to get back to the theatre of greens, but it feels wrong to me. First, why now? Why not months ago when the stats were lower? Second, will this last long, feels like to me that the numbers will go up, especially after the five days of Christmas. What are your views?

We have approx 5,000 season ticket holders. We were told if fans are allowed back in it will be on the basis of first to buy their season ticket first allocated. So if we are tier 1 there will still be 1,000 unhappy greens.

At present two of our MPs are arguing with BoJo that we should not be counted with Bristol. If we are, then we’ll be tier two at best, and only tier 1 they argue if Cornwall and Devon alone are counted.

True enough, it would be optimistic to think i could get a ticket, but if you don't ask you don't get.

We should not be included with Bristol, especially as it is probably nearer to London than it is to Cornwall.

Their infection rate is treble Plymouth's (i think), and about 6x the rate of Cornwall.

If i can't attend matches, then at least i want to be in a Tier 1 district, especially as my local had cut beer prices just before L2 (and getting Sky back for 3 months)

I'll be amazed if we're not in Tier 3. Lincoln is getting a bit worse, but Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Hull, Notts, Peterborough are all high and we're surrounded by them.

That’s assuming of course all 5,000 want to go to the games. Some may not want to go due to health concerns, having to travel from outside Plymouth etc.

We have one ST holder on our forum who lives in Hitchin who has already said he will carry on watching games on Ifollow to allow people living in Swindon to physically go to games. That’s just one person but I reckon there will be others.

I am guessing the current capacity is 2500, which would allow roughly 1250 to attend. I am sure some of the bigger SWPL clubs eg Falmouth and Bodmin will benefit as well.

Apparently, when fans return they can be served beer on the concourses, without the need for a ‘substantial’ meal but have to sit down when drinking.

Don’t know about other clubs but there sure ain’t any seating available on our concourses.

Makes you wonder how they can revert back to not being able to consume alcohol in view of the pitch when vaccines are rolled out and we are allowed back in grounds

Would not seating in a concourse be a crowd safety hazard? This sounds a bit like those in tier one can have 4,000 fans watch When no one is going to be in tier one.

For those who were lucky enough to get to a game today, what was the system like at your club? Curious about the differences between clubs.. at Pompey it seemed sensible and safe but not super strict

Families could sit together with some having masks on.

Shame our team were rubbish on the pitch but predictable.

it seems strange that Cornwall and Isle of Wight have infection rates below 20 per 100,000 despite being in T1.

Granted. the population density isn't massive, but the rates have dropped since lockdown finished.
