We could really do with something here because Arsenal up next will be a nailed on defeat. We'll be pretty fresh having made 10 changes in the Cup, although I'd imagine Palace will have done similar. Afobe looks full of confidence and is enjoying playing the wrecking ball around opposition defences, although Palace should prove a more solid test than Norwich and Sunderland.
I see Adebayor will play some part, and he has the record of scoring on his debuts to maintain. They'll be missing Wickham after that elbow.
When you look at our February fixtures, this game is potentially huge, as we have a tough, tough run of games to come and could really do with 3 points tonight.
Adebayor is guaranteed to score, at least let's get that out the way early, but I'm hoping Afobe continues his good start. Palace have been shaky recently and I think his pace could hurt them; it's just carving out the right opportunities for him, as he looks more of an instinctive finisher than someone who is going to carefully pick their spot in a one on one.
For what it's worth Mark, AFC Bournemouth have never won a top flight game without me being there, good job I went tonight!
By no means a classic performance, but we found a way to win, and sometimes you just have to do it that way. Still not sure how Afobe's header snuck in but up until his arrival we were missing those which shows what a massive signing he could be for us.
