Will it be another Crystanbul for Liverpool? or Will it continue to be the Gerrard Cup?

Palace are a bogey side of Liverpool, no doubt about it, they always seem to cause problems, particularly Bolassie. Liverpool are looking a more solid outfit than when they last met and though it will be close, I think they'll edge it.

This was my predicted final, with Gerrard scoring the winner. But it's just the 5th round. Liverpool have a worse squad than last season where they struggled away to Palace. Should still win it though.

If I was a betting men, I'd put 4-1 Liverpool as the odds would be pretty decent.

No, he means that he doesn't think Liverpool will score 4, but it's a possibility and the odds would be decent

I see. Anyways I think this cup should be our lowest priority, hence we should rest some of our players.

It also makes him look like a 13 y/o who doesn't know what a vagina is, too.

Shouldn't be prioritising anything I'd say. Whether it be the league, Europa League or FA Cup, Liverpool should be looking to go as far in all competitions as possible, particularly with the squad now fattened out.

That is an ideal case. Obviously I want us to win every game, but if we have to rest players then this game certainly has to be one of those. Winning the EL or finishing in top 4 will be much much more advantageous to us than winning the FA Cup.

I can understand that but I always want trophies in the cabinet and its been three years since Liverpool last won one so I would definitely like to see them go all out and try for the FA Cup.

I want trophies in the cabinet too, and FA Cup definitely is our best chance for that. But I think we should rest players like Coutinho, Sterling and Henderson. You could see how tired and ineffective Coutinho looked in the two games against Everton and Spurs.

Yeah Coutinho was poor particularly in the Spurs game. Sterling will probably miss out too even if his knock is fine now.

Very much looking forward to this. Always viewed the cups as a bonus and it makes me less nervous. We've got a good chance to win the thing if we beat Palace today.

I've seen a few Liverpool fans playing down the importance of the FA Cup in the run-up to this game but Rodgers will be itching to win his first trophy with the club and he will have instilled that into the players.

I'd love to win the FA Cup, don't get me wrong. The 06 final is one of my fondest memories from watching football. But in our current situation, with the EL offering a CL-place, the FA Cup is the least of our priorities. Ergo, a bonus.

Speaking of which - how do you rate your chances of winning the EL? I'd rank as you joint favourites with three or four other clubs.

About the same, the EL has been notoriously hard to predict due to teams prioritizing it differently, but if all teams take it as seriously as could be expected then yeah. I'd look at us, Roma, Tottenham, Sevilla as probable favourites. Then you got Inter, Fiorentina and Wolfsburg who I reckon could go far as well. I'd probably go for Roma if I had to pick one, but we can beat all teams.

I'm more old school and would rather win trophies, so an FA Cup win were it to happen I'd be very happy with even if Liverpool don't make CL football at season end. I know that is the main priority for the board and the majority of the fans, but its not the end of the world if it doesn't happen, and you'd still have a trophy in the cabinet to suggest a decent season.

I think winning the EL will be difficult; there are a lot of good teams in it who will push to try and get that CL spot for next season and there are still nine games to play if Liverpool/Everton/Spurs want to win it and get in the CL that way, so maybe pushing for it in the league is a better idea. Who knows though, if any can get on a good run and a favourable draw, it may be the best thing to try for.

If Chelsea win the league and CL...Spurs finish 5th and win the EL...will the teams in 6th and 7th get the CL spot?

What the fuck?

No. Top four get CL. If the EL/CL-winners are outside of the top 4, they get an extra spot. As such, it's possible for 6 teams to play in the CL next season but you can only qualify in the league by finishing top 4.

How did you even think of asking that?
