The robins will win this. They nearly always win this. The few times we have got something out of the game I haven't celebrated because I'm so gobsmacked that we managed to get something.


We look better than last season but we still fart arse about at the back. I think we'll line up something like...

The subs being

McNerney, Grego-Cox, Randall, Nathaniel-Grant, Galach, Camara and Mersin(gk).

Young and Francomb, Payne and Randall may swap places but I reckon that line up leaves us weak at left back and right midfield/wing. Can't do anything at left back as Doherty is our only one.

I'm ready for the verbals about stating a match day thread that will not get past a page but it's the season opener and I'm confident that we will welcome an extra 20k fans this year as we stroll to triumph winning all games 5-0!

We've added another left back to our squad. Sesay. Ex Watford academy so he may play in place of Doherty. I'm not sure either is good enough but beggars can't be choosers.

I called the team correctly but only six subs for some reason...is there some rule about having to have a player who has been at the club from before his 18th birthday in force this year? I seem to recall something like it from when the EFLL regulations come into force.

Well that means we are starting with six subs in every game this season and if the rule stays in place for the next three seasons at least.

No academy, no youth set up, no chance of fulfilling this regulation!
