Since Christmas has anyone else noticed that our style of football has seemed very crap and ineffective? We have just looked so disorganised in the middle of the pitch and there just doesn't look like there's any game plan other than getting stuck in as soon as we're trailing by a goal or two.

In the first half of the season we were very exciting to watch, we were scoring goals for fun and really looked like we were progressing as a team step by step, but now we just seem to have gone backwards and are trying to scrap out results especially at home.

I just wonder if it all has something to do with the training facilities getting ruined from the floods.

I've got a feeling we'll lose, though I'm glad they got their 1st home win at the weekend else we'd have definitely lost.

This is one of our games in hand so we must win.

Fed up of having games in hand now, win tonight and the table will look a lot nicer. Even if we lose at least we can accept that we're actually mid-table instead of some potential play-off team. As it happens I do think we'll win tonight, hopefully Wyke will be back in the team finishing off Grainger's crosses.

Another one we have to win. Saturday's first home win counts for nothing if we can't follow it up straight away against a side who ship goals (as well as scoring them in bundles), and who we have a pretty decent record over in recent times, especially at Victoria Road in the league.

We're in a patch (more of a puddle) of decent form, 2 unbeaten and back-to-back clean sheets, and bar the woeful home display to York we've looked a lot better of late and should have got something at Mansfield as well. Optimistic, but cautiously so.

I wouldn't expect us to concede more than one or two tonight, we'll have been doing defensive drills in training after Saturday's debacle and against a worse side than Northampton I'd expect us to get back to what was a relatively solid defensive record. Only issue is scoring at the moment, we make plenty of chances but need to finish them off. I'm half expecting us to beat someone 3 or 4 nil soon when we score a couple of our early chances and get some confidence - hopefully this can be tonight.

That's half-time and it sounds as if we're controlling the game, so I expect a Dagenham goal early in the 2nd half.

Amazingly, after such a dog shite result, we're only 2 points off the playoffs with a game in hand.

This league is disgraceful. Finish us off already.

Mixed tonight. Disappointed we didn't win but considering we're missing 4 CMs and had to give a 17 year old a debut in there, it could have been worse. A point keeps us 3 unbeaten and 6 behind Hartlepool with them to play Saturday. Do or die Saturday.

Oh don't worry I'm sure we'll go on a 10 game winning run to make the play offs and go up through them and then have a very successful season in L1 playing sexy football.

Also don't forget that we have a billionaire still wanting to buy us who will take us to the Premier League in 4 years and then straight into Europe!

So there is plenty to look forward to for Carlisle Utd fans! :db::woo::woo::woo:

A good point for us tonight I think. Was impressed by Carlisle so pleased by the progress we've made to have deserved a point

Well that was shite, I agree with Carver, what on earth has happened to us? Tired legs?

But yeah the fact we haven't won in three now, and got a goalless draw against a team adrift at the bottom, haven't been in the playoff places since January, yet still have qualification in our own hands is a sign that apart from the top four, this league is crap.

We seem to play better football away than we do at home, but the huge problem is not taking our chances. Strikers like Charlie Wyke continually missing one on one's is simply not good enough. Gonna need better strikers in the summer.

In some ways you have to feel for Curle, whenever he's asked about it he says that Wyke is the best finisher he's seen at the club but obviously he isn't replicating this on the pitch at the moment. Hopefully it's just a confidence thing, and in some ways bad luck with slips and such, and once him or Jabo get a goal or two they'll stop firing blanks every game.
