Finished season 2. Overall I preferred season 1 but I loved the Punisher storyline in 2. Wasn't a massive fan of the Stick and Elektra stuff early on but towards the end my interest piqued.

This and Jessica Jones have better antagonists than most of the Marvel movies. The Netflix Marvel series have done a decent job of keeping a serious tone without making it unbearably sombre, will be interesting to see how they integrate the Luke Cage, Punisher and Iron Fist series with these two into the Defenders series. They're going to be putting out a ridiculous amount of content spread over six series at the same time set in the same city.

You say "most", but besides Loki the Marvel movie villians are largely terrible. It's hard to even remember who the bad guys were in most Marvel movies. Loki is brilliant... and I actually think that Agent Smith played a superb Red Skull in the first Cap, but besides those guys I can't really think of any standouts.

Meanwhile, Kingpin and The Purple Man are both fucking brilliant.

Thing is movie = 2 and a bit hours, tv series 10 hours or so, the villains are better due to how much time they get to develop, hence why Loki is one of if not the best marvel villain. Hugo Weaving just did an excellent job as red skull.

Yeah, the TV show format is certainly an advantage for sure. But Wilson Fisk seemed infinitely more interesting after just his first appearance in that art gallery than most of the general multicoloured batch containing the likes of (as I can barely even remember most of the names of these generic fucks) the blue dude from GOTG, Dr Who's elf in Thor The Dark World, Whiplash in Iron Man 2, that bald dude in Ant Man or whatever.

I think it helps Wilson Fisk being a very good bad guy by the fact that we get his background and that he's not a total bad guy for being a bad guy sake which you don't really get in films.

Thought I'd resurrect this bad boy as I've just finished watching season 3.

A return to the excellence of Season 3 I thought, not that Season 2 was terrible. There were a few quibbles. A few too many hallucination/dream sequences that I found to just be lazy writing. Also thought there were too many characters and side stories that didn't really add much, but maybe the plot needed them there to keep things moving.

It's a shame that the bullseye/fake Daredevil twist was revealed in the trailer, would have made for a cool twist. Liked Bullseye's character and his change as the episodes went on. Liked Matt Murdock's arc, same with Karen Page's. Fisk is such a great Marvel villain, even if he's not in the MCU.

Maybe it's just me, but I find Elden Henson a really poor actor. I mean, he's been in 2 films since 2009, both as a minor character with no lines in the Hunger Games. His TV work is similarly spotty. Yet somehow, he swung a gig as a major character in this show and I can't fathom why. Easily the least believable, least likeable, least interesting character in the series. But major I'm on my own on that one.

Be interesting to see where they go next with this. We've seen hopeful Murdock, we've seen broken Murdock. Not sure where else is left to go with his character. The other characters in the Defenders universe are dropping like flies and I can see why. Iron Fist was a disaster, Luke Cage was ok, but that was probably the right call too. Wonder how much life is left in this group of characters.

Managed to get round to watching Season 3 of the dazzling 'Daredevil'

I thought without a doubt this was the best season of Daredevil and probably the best Season out of all the MCU Netflix shows. Daredevil for me was more interesting with Matt Murdoch in character rather than Daredevil himself. And D'Onofrio takes center stage and steals the spotlight with a superb performance as the brilliant Kingpin.

Wilson Bethel plays Dex as a man who looks like he is going to explode at any moment. And also an entire episode with Deborah Ann Woll as sort of a villain herself with her back story culminating in a shocking ending. Woll is by far one of the best actresses in the MCU Netflix shows.

Overall i thought that commitment in the show is reinforced in showrunner Erik Oleson's approach to exploring the lives of Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, and the rest of the show's strong supporting characters, some new, some returning. And it's most keenly felt in the two villains that drive Season 3! Wilson Fisk was already great. Bullseye could be every bit his equal.

It will be interesting to see where they can go with this show even though it's officially cancelled. According to Charlie Cox Season 4 would have been interesting. I suppose there is no reason they could not continue the series on Disney plus. Will they? We will find out eventually.

Disney has to wait at least two years from the cancellation before they're allowed to use the character on-screen again as per their agreement with Netflix.

Sad to hear it's been a decent show with 3 respectable season's. I think the once rosy relationship between Netflix and Disney has turned a tad sour, and Daredevil a popular product has borne the brunt of their messy public breakup. Saying that Disney Plus is on the hunt for new MCU content, including a Loki series and a Scarlet Witch series.
