Love the title.
Funnily enough he was tweeting from Cambridge last night!
A massive game for us with all the other contenders otherwise engaged or putting their feet up.
Any team with true credentials would come out of this with a routine 2-0 win, a goal in each half and restrict the opposition to a couple of long range efforts and a half-hearted penalty appeal.
We don't seem to do routine wins. I've got a half baked theory that we often seem to play better when the players have working inside on the astro (which they seem to have been doing this week). The passing seems crisper, sharper reactions all round and the movement is better. We'll see...
Totally agree, we never "do it easy" 2-0 up and we still have it in us to muck it up ! That said there's a different feeling about things this season, if we need to step it up- we can.
What will be interesting to see is if we do win both games, how the players react to being top, could either rise to it and push on or put ourselves under pressure and struggle- who knows
Pretty easy 2-0 Win, patient in the first half and could have gone in 1 up, Barnsley had a bit of pressure at the start of the 2nd but then we stepped it up and could have had a couple more goals.
Only if we go up and even then we may come to the same conclusion as you did and that you need a bit more power and pace in The Championship.
He's just got on with his job and was happy to share starting duties with Benik as well as give the Arsenal Loanee all the limelight. Ironically, there's signs of the football being a bit more attractive now Grigg's leading the line as we arent tempted to spring him the way we often did with Benik.
