Looks like Sheringham is picking up the poisoned chalice that is Swindon Town.

Dreadful win rate at Stevenage, but hardly had a chance there. All we need now is some players!

If you ignore the Stevenage debacle, this would be a typical Swindon appointment. Rumours that Paul Jewell is going to be our Director of football and hopefully Tactics Tim will be nowhere near the club.

At long last we have a manager in place and I am willing to give him time and support to get it right.

If that's true, then it's bollocks Power saying the new manager will have 100% responsibility for recruitment.

That bloke is full of bullshit. Sheringham may well turn out to be a success if Power wasn't also bullshitting about us having the largest budget in L2. He has plenty of bullshitting previous, though.

I've absolutely no clue if the Jewell thing is true or not, I can't even remember where I read it so is probably total manure.

Swindon clearly doing their usual thing of choosing a manager who will get them more media coverage over one that will do well... although it may not to be this time, it nearly was. Jimmy Bullard to be named Swindon manager. You heard it here first.

Jimmy Bullard did really well at Leatherhead. He had them playing a passing game and winning.

Obviously, Leatherhead to Swindon is a bit of a step down but he could do well.:shifty:

Hey mate show them some respect, Swindon Town were once the whipping boys of the Premiership you know! :hail:

However you're right as they do have a history of appointing big names as their managers like they did with Di Canio and Dennis Wise, which is obviously a gamble just to try and make the club look more fashionable than what it really is.

And each one of those big names got us promoted. So, what's your point again?

Oh, and btw, there have been loads of worst teams than us in the PL. I think Derby and Sunderland only managed less than 20 points

Just checked. We're not even in the bottom 10 worst teams to grace the PL

I wouldn't even bother replying ID. It appears that the Carlisle fans on here appear to share the same brain cell.

At least we're not the ones who have resorted to name calling, we're definitely way above that, but sadly I can't say the same for you Swindon boys on here who have been calling us 'Plums' and 'Massive Welts'.

Now I understand that you might be bitter at getting relegated to L2, but that will soon wear off once you realise that this league is your suited level, so you can at least enjoy watching your team score points again!

I'm not even going to bother getting into a battle of wits with someone so woefully unarmed.

WTGR that would be jumping from one shit show to another wouldn't it? Didn't ID say on the season ticket thread you only had 7 players?
