No surprise at all. What a stupid appointment and what a terrible manager. What has he done since building that ugly but efficient Doncaster side on a good budget? Awful manager. Surely he will struggle to get a new job in the football league. Who in next Chesterfield fans?

We've moved quickly at least. I do feel a little bit sorry for the bloke. He took over, had half the squad sold out from under him, then didn't get much time to get things sorted. His football is truly atrocious to watch though and will just push fans away.

God knows who's gonna take over now!

Mark Cooper could be a contender here? Would bring a similar style of football that Cook provided when they made the play offs.

Thank fuck. I didn't think our chairman would do that as it would be tantamount to admitting his mistake in appointing him but fair play in acting decisively.

It doesn't explain the sheer lunacy in appointing him and his mates which will no doubt cost us a fortune as well as counting the cost of the damage they've done.

Please don't let him get a job anywhere else. I wouldn't even wish him on Mansfield Town.

I don't think I would. He's a boil on football's arse that hopefully has been lanced permanently.

It was a strange appointment in the first place.

Good to see sense was seen.

I hope Deano considers a career move.

He isn't, never has been, and never will be a football manager.

I'd settle for Mark Cooper.

Mickey Adams has probably already applied but quite rightly he has no chance.

Jim Gannon isn't available but he's probably fed up of selling cars and managing part time... He's also a massive fan of Sam Morsy.

No idea who we will get but i'm bloody glad he has gone. Probably up there with the Dave Rushbury appointment.

It won't happen but imagine if Chesterfield went for Adam Murray...

Realistically speaking though it'll be an out of work Championship/League One manager who wants to get back on the ladder. Uwe Rosler maybe?
