Action packed December coming up, and here is my slightly pessimistic set. Now we've actually lost a league game I'm giving up the joke of predicting a loss in every game.

Tues 1st - St Ives Town (H) - L (St Ives are 1st)
Sat 5th - Royston Town (H) - L (Royston are 5th with 1 game in hand)
Tues 8th - Hanwell Town (A) - W (Hanwell are 18th with 1 game in hand)
Sat 12th - Uxbridge (A) - W (Uxbridge are 11th)
Sat 19th - Chalfont St Peter (A) - L (Chalfont are 3rd)
Tues 22nd - Egham Town (A) - D (Egham are 6th with 1 game in hand)
Sat 26th - Bedford Town (A) - W (Bedford are 13th with 1 game in hand)
[AFCR&D are 2nd with 2 games in hand]

Lots of games, and a couple of Tuesdays without fixtures scheduled (15th and 29th), which can, at a push, fit in any re-arranged games. That said we've got no more midweek matches scheduled all season, so hopefully they can fit in around January or so to give a little breathing space for the players around the holidays!

This month is very tough for Diamonds, we're playing 4 of the top 6 and we're missing a lot of players for various reasons. Hopefully some will come back at useful times and maybe we might sign one or two more to cover. If we can defy my predictions and pick up some points against those around us through December then I think we can start talking about a title challenge... for now I'm tempering my expectations a little however.

If Gateshead are to go on a run for the playoffs, it's December that will decide it potentially. You've got quite a winnable run there. It's not inconceivable for a 100% record. If you're to distinguish yourselves from the other sides in the mid-table area then you need to be getting points off of Woking Barrow and Guiseley. That said they will be thinking similarly about you. It's a month for optimism if Gateshead can start getting points on the board...
