Boro playing us at the right time. Although our performance was better on Saturday, I don't see Clement's first win coming here.

Derby 0-1 Boro

Me neither, would take a point.

An early goal would be nice, the longer the game goes on 0-0 the less confident I am and if Boro score first then we'll struggle. They've started well where as we've been timid up until that second half vs Charlton.

Nugent always scores so I'm going to be backing him.

Good to get something from the game, almost a carbon copy of the vintage away performance they put in at our place last season. Boro almost pulled it off too, unspectacularly solid again.

We looked a bit naff going forward like Saturday but it's hard when teams put two banks of 4 in front of you and sit deep. Boro are obviously known for being solid defensively so I'm not going to worry too much yet...

Does anyone hate simulation as much as me? I don't understand why ref's aren't proactive in trying to stamp it out the game by booking players every time. Fabrini and Kike are a right set of diving fuckers.

I went to this, think I saw my future wife in the Norf stand...

Anyway, the game. Seemed a weird line-up with Baird and Warnock at full-back and Weimann/Ince playing on opposite wings - basically had no width and just a jumbled static mess in the middle. Hanson and Hendrick were both utterly useless, Hughes' movement will be missed big time. Might have been an interesting game had Boro not scored that very fortunate goal as they were just content to sit back after that and admittedly were superb at it. Incredibly organised side equipped to deal with just about any type of threat - and then they kind of ruined it by failing to defend a lofty cross over the top to the back post (great finish from Russell). Football.

I really liked that Aitor Karanka chant.
