I don't think Bent's tackle warranted a sending off, he's pulling out by the time the contact comes, there's no intent. That's expected bias from both sides though, a neutral referee thankfully had the decision to make. Bent was literally missing for the whole game too so there shouldn't be any complaints about it not being 10 vs 11!

Could say the same for Osborn, simulation is a yellow card in the rule book but common sense applies there too.

It's not as if I was defending your lot or anything, but as you were...

Embarrassing that by Osborn, almost as bad as handing out flags to fans, fuck me football is dying on it's arse.
Handing out flags! Do you think that was done by the club? We have a fans group called the 1884 group who raise money and spend their own time doing this kind of stuff. Mel Morris does occasionally chip in and match funds raised, but it is not down to the club.

More of a dig at the accent rather than the shit chant I reckon.

The second glasshouse residential stone throw of the day. :animatedf:

Maybe so mate, we've got a few. Not going to knock our fans for singing that one and others though, at least we're making an effort to both fill our ground and try and generate some sort of atmosphere.

Yeah, your fans were the best to visit Ashton Gate last season, even if you do sing some proper "hipster" songs.

I don't care what anyone says, no matter what the song, the premise of 'football chanting' is laughable. We all do it, well, some of us, but it doesn't make it 'cool'. The occasional funny one comes up, but by the time the poor blokes near the front translate the words from the noise and clapping from the four/five that know it front to back, it's never sung again.

Therefore, if anyone tries to differentiate what is a 'cool' football chant and what isn't, remember to take a long hard look at yourself and think about what you're writing. It's all shite.

As for the game, it seems like we've learned to shut up shop and take our chances when we get them - or let the Lord have a free header in his own box. I think that's 12 clean sheets this season - eight in our last 11 games (since Pearson was sacked). 17 goals scored in those 11 games also points to us slowly sorting out our attacking play, too.

It'll be interesting to see what we do in January and with Thorne coming back. I would say there's a lot to be positive about at the moment.
