Still no idea whether Martin or Thorne will be back. I would assume both will be on the bench, even if they are though. 7 games without a win, and those slim hopes of still making the top two gone.

Derby 0-2 Watford

It seems Martin may still have problems - I hope not. We really need this game otherwise we could even be out of the top 6, which based on our squad would be pretty awful really.

It we win we still have a small chance, but more hope than expectation. Hoping we do well though. I'll be optimistic and say 2-1 us.

Going for the win it seems with 3 strikers in the team.

Not sure about Layun in midfield again...

Stone wall pen, and if he gives it, he has to go.

Interesting game this, 2nd half is poised perfectly now.

Cue relentless Derby pressure.

Definite pen, but a harsh red as Russell's touch was heavy and there was a covering defender, wouldn't put it down as a "clear" goalscoring opportunity.

Either way very happy for both teams to call it quits now please. Or even let Derby get another I don't mind

Keogh looks like that plonker off X Factor last year.

That 96 minutes summed up our last few months. Mistakes which get punished and a real lack of cutting edge from any of our forward players. Somethings been missing for about two months now, hoping Martin's return to fitness will change it all up because we look a completely different team. Once again, we did ok over the game but can't have any complaints with the result. Nothing between us and Watford just like the games against Norwich, Boro, Wolves etc. Frustrating/disappointing.

Play Off battle it is, bring it on.

We are the masters of our own downfall. Our defence is simply awful, but credit to Keogh who actually did well today.

Until we sort this defence, we will probably go nowhere, although I will keep the faith.

Our defence is fucking attrocious. We should have won that, especially against ten men.

Giving ridiculous goals like that away every week, we are not making the playoffs. What an utterly shit and pathetic season this has turned in to.

We made far less mistakes in the first half of the season when we had a settled back four, so you can't absolve McClaren from blame here. The chopping and changing that has occured since January has been ridiculous. Injuries can't be helped obviously as has been the case with Buxton, but they often haven't been.

Right back has been a massive problem this season defensively. Christie got away with it earlier this season because he looked good going forward. He looks dross now and devoid of confidence.

Agreed tonight that it sums up our season. We are going into the run in, low in confidence, Can't defend and looking like we are going to lose every game.

I hate being a Derby fan!

What a result, after Inces goal I thought we were going to lose by 3 or 4,
I'd say we where the better side 11 v 11, Derby obviously had more chances in the 2nd half but I would still say we were good value for the point.

Derby on the other hand seem a completely different team to the own that dominated large portions of our game at the. Vic earlier this season.

I don't think you can blame McClaren too much, if it was Shotton/Keogh/Albentosa every week that were messing up then maybe I'd think differently. The injury to Buxton hasn't helped either. It's Christie and Forsyth who are two players (one especially) that have played almost every game. 2 situations, just like the Wolves/Boro games where under no pressure at all they give the ball away and 15 seconds later we're a goal behind. That first goal last night was an absolute joke, talk about capitulation.

My hope is that we can't keep making individual mistakes forever, they surely have to stop. When they stop, we'll start picking up, until then we won't.
I think McClaren got it right with Shotton at CB last night, just a shame his wing backs let him down. He's got a tough decision Monday. Do we risk more chopping and changing with Shotton>Christie & Warnock>Forsyth or do we stick with the faltering players?
