Surely you can sell the club to Rosler, who has been out of work since Wigan. It wasn't that long ago he was managing Brentford in league 1.

Bob Peeters is another good shout.
Warburton is also out of work in the summer, but will no doubt get something in the Championship. But should an opening not materialise he might be willing turn the S.S. Notts County around.

Who would have thought Hyypia would have left Leverkusen and european football for Brighton?

There's no harm in asking some of these names. The worst they can say is no.

The best they can say is no too

Those names are too good for County. You need to be thinking less Paul Jewell and more Martin Ling.

Is Carlton Palmer still kicking about?

'Listen, roight, when I was at Stockport, I lowered the wage budget from £1.1m and halved it roight', my word Palmer was funny,

On manager watch today, I'd assume if we're close to appointing someone they'll be up in the exec box

Keep a look out for Ferguson. he's easily recognisable. He normally just stands there, arms folded, looking increasingly confused.

If you're looking for true ineptitude, Steve Eyre stands out head and shoulders above all other Rochdale managers of my time. Even Alan "where's the sea - shit, this isn't Grimsby" Buckley...

Anyway, if you don't want Abbott I presume Peter Costello won't get the gig either! :)

Local radio cock Colin Slater says its 100% not Ferguson, Wilson or Yates...and they want someone with a proven track record. So, I guess it's no-one then.

The rumours (which I don't believe fwiw) about investment does make it all a bit interesting though.

Rosler down to 4/1 from 20/1-33/1 this morning (depending where you looked). Ferguson's still heavy favourite and he's been ruled out though so not sure what bookies odds are worth.

Definitely a lot of 2+2-ing but if we got Rosler during a League 1 relegation scrap, then the only logical reason why would be some form of accompanying investment.

Ricardo Moniz.

Absolutely fucking no idea. He was at Spurs once and managed Red Bull Salzburg winning the Austrian League Manager of the year 12/13.

How wonderfully hipster. I hope he plays 442 and hoofs it to the big man though or there will be trouble with the locals.

He was linked with Blackpool at the start of the season before Riga was appointed. Hope that helps.

They'd be top of the Champ if they'd appointed him. Their loss is our gain.

It's not gonna happen. People think it's the Red Bull link alongside the investment rumours and are doing more dreaming

He's got a good record at clubs much bigger than us. Bit weird... though.

Yeah. If there was investment it'd be somewhere in the media by now. Sky and Daily Mail are the ones who got Shan/Moniz from absolutely nowhere - they'd also have the scoop on any significant money going into the club.

They also link Shan. Can't see that happening. The investment thing really is a crock. who would be willing to keep the Trews on the board or pay them back their 17m. No one is that daft

They'd buy a majority stake I guess or something similar to what the Saudi bloke at Sheff U has done - bought 50% of the club for a £1. They pump the capital in and the Trews know that they'd get a really nice return should we get into the Championship & become established or whatever.

Wishful thinking of course cos it ain't happening. But we are a fairly attractive target for someone. Debt-free, nice city, nice stadium, a fanbase with some potential (huge potential if you overtook Forest) and a pretty nice USP in being the oldest club, if you really wanted to milk that.

NCM will be in melt down when it realises there is no investment. One chap is speculating that Titi Henry is coming. Classic

Richard Money has probably been approached, and the newsdesk at the Mail had google switched to the Spanish version when they looked him up... :)

Then they rang Notts for confirmation, got through to the Chairman, who said "Trew"...

He's already my favourite Notts manager ever. This is going to be spectacular. Hope he fucks off Smith, Jones and Edwards immediately.

Seems a bit of a gamble given his lack of knowledge of the lower leagues given your position. He doesn't know the Notts players, the opposition players, is he used to playing on rubbish pitches? Has he got the street wise for a relegation battle? What if he comes in thinking he can play a continental style of play and then realise you have shit players and rubbish pitches so can't do it?

Maybe Notts would have been better getting a manager who knows the division on the short term and then have this Moniz fella taking over in the summer?
