We actually somehow managed to beat Donny earlier this year but I don't think we've ever done the double over them, can't even remember the last time we beat them at home.

The way we are playing and our lack of defence means you won't get a better chance. Nothing dubious about the derby, different counties but same postcode, There you go the 'postcode derby'

Scunny are an odd side! Seem to be dreadful in spells ie smashed at Blackpool then beat Cov away. 1-1 here for me.

Nothing dubious about a Scunny v Donny game for us oldtimers. While it doesn't match up with the Mariners or the Imps, it is third on the list of "derbies". Notable rivalry exists in the Isle of Axholme (this is west of Scunthorpe, east of Donny, for the geographically challenged). Certainly it always had a place in our derby list.

I cannot say the same for Hull. This is the dubious derby, a fabrication of a radio station representing somewhere that doesn't exist, ie Humberside.

You will score, there's no doubt about, a lot depends on Tyson being fit for us, it's not great at the moment & the lack of strengthening of the defence is a huge cause for concern, however we have a good record at GP & have sold out behind the goal (just noticed that in last half hour or so Scunthorpe have said Rovers fans can pay on the day in the side stand despite no pay on the day notices for the last few weeks!) Should be a decent atmosphere .

Game postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

This is what the pitch looked like around 3pm.

What a joke calling the game off.

I've always said it depends on when you started Supporting Scunny. For you Isle people it's going to be a big thing, especially the way Donny have made inroads into our normal support areas. They're Second to Grimsby in my opinion.

Well, I got to Sheffield and found out it was off, which wasn't a surprise at the time as it was belting it down but it didn't continue. Unfortunately Health and Safety Considerations forced the Referee's hand.
