Just been reading one of the Premier League final day forums on the other board, the discussion is woeful.

You have the alcoholic Peterborough Fan, a Swindon Fan and a handful of Liverpool Fans on it. It’s like reading the BBC Sport updates page.

I agree the Man U and Liverpool fans dominate but why do you think the Peterborough fan is alcoholic - have I missed something?

I see that the excessive ads have now disappeared from this site…

Yeah and it was only down for a few days then back up working better than before. Hasn’t gone down a single time since the change of ownership as far as I’m aware.

This site kept going down for short spells so a load kicked up a bit of a fuss and started/joined what they thought was some kind of revolution. I've not seen the other forum they migrated to for a few weeks but whenever I looked it was like a cheap imitation of what here was like. Dried up old shite and as you say they've cut themselves off from interacting with L1/L2 fans which was a good link in this community in the case of promotions/relegation, player transfers, managerial appointments, general opinons etc. It's a shame but they made their choice.

If Wrexham and to probably a lesser extent ourselves go up the place will be absolutely dead from what I recall. Notts County had a few good lads. Chesterfield fans get quite busy if they start winning again. You've always got some decent posters from some of the so called smaller clubs like Wealdstone, Grimsby, Yeovil etc but they're not enough to keep it vibrant like it was on here.
It was nothing to do with a revolution or anything like that. This site was unusable and has been sold to a company that has a sole motive of monetising the forum. Combine that with it previously being ran by the consistently absent Tractorboys and for me it was a no brainer when I found a place with admins that pay for a forum out of their own pocket and are active on the forums themselves.

We obviously have different values on things like that, so it's pointless trying to get my point across really.

I'll be staying over there as the people that run it have the best interests of the forum at heart. A shame that none of the League Two lot made it over, and it's even more baffling that they continued to bear with this place when it was ridden with errors but it is what it is, more people will join the other place and it will become more active I'm sure.

Nice to see that little jibe at us being a small club though. Definitely still not obsessed with us.

Thats up to you. When you say "Its a shame the League 2 boys should have migrated " Why ? Lots of us jumped ship from that forum when ( Mods ) started being dictitorial and threatening to hand out banning orders just for having different opinions to them back in the day. Now I suspect those Mods have departed -- But out of the two forums in my opinion this one is the best.

There could do with being a merger really as both forums do pretty much exactly the same thing

Only problem I ever had with this forum were the constant downtime but that’s long gone, not really bothered about who owns it or anything like that, it’s just a footie forum end of day, don’t take it too seriously.

For years now, I've always had adblocker installed on my phone & desktop, so I've never actually seen all these ads people moan about.

Were they really that bad??

There was a week were it was unusable on mobile, heavy ad integration and a lot of downtime but has been fine ever since.

It wasn't so the much the ads, there were quite a number of times this forum just disappeared. It just so happens the mass exodus happened at the last time the forum went down.

Shambles. One or two red faces over there I'm sure. The Wrexham, Notts lads etc will even more desperate to get out of the division. Still a really poor show they abandoned this place tbh.

I hadn’t realised about the mass exodus of NL to the alternative forum. As comments, it’s almost dead for L2, the only reason I might join is to find out how our former players are doing or the quality of any NL player we’re linked with.

I’ll give Super_horns credit for coming over and explaining every time.

A generally nice person, shame all their moderators aren’t the same.
