Unless I'm missing a thread, it looks like none of us have much to say that hasn't already been said elsewhere. Fully recovered from man flu and spine re-aligned by my favourite osteopath, I'm heading down to pick up Portsmouth tickets, a few pints and hopefully to see a reassuring reaction to last week's appalling performance.

None of us know what to expect this season (especially at home) other than intermittent swings from hope to frustration. I suspect that today's game may sum up the season to date but hope that it can put a spring in the step for the trip down to Fratton Park.

Coulson usually plays well against us. York keepers have been known to gift us the odd goal. With Cobblers and Oxford sandwiching Luton at home next up, York will be looking for a minimum of a point today and believe they can win, to put further pressure on D&R before their 6 pointer.

Further exposure of Furlong's dodgy defending may have signalled an opportunity for Omozusi to start. If not, he surely won't be here next season. Jimmy Spencer's attitude/ability hasn't impressed much (even allowing for the limited opportunities and poor service he's had) since the debut goal at Orient but, as Derry's man, I can see him getting a start ahead of Robbie Simpson. I hope he gets room and service to feet for the hold-up play, that is clearly one of his strengths, and he gets his head down to do some hard work and win some of us over.

Norris
Omozusi, Legge, Coulson, Haynes
Ledson, Dunne
Wiliamson, Berry, Dunk
Spencer

Head says 0-1. Heart says 4-1 in front of 4,460 (320 from York)

Yes, we need a match thread, so thank you Alan. We might get a dodgy pen awarded to us by a whistle happy ref, and so we will want a thread already in place so we can discuss the incident.

1-2 defeat. Or a 3-1 win courtesy of a Sir Jimmy hat trick. Who knows.

Solid win but that was more because York's defence was awful than anything else.

Satisfactory day. York's defence was dire but we still needed Butter-Flinders, " ...to gift us the odd goal (or two)," and you can only beat what is in front of you. Sir Jimmy is winning me over and I'm hoping he can be as prominent in the next 4 particularly challenging fixtures, especially Portsmouth and Wycombe in the next two.

Pleased to see how the attendances are holding up (4,822 with no particular promotion effort). There were a lot of new faces on the Habbin and we have some attractive fixtures coming up. :gmc:

Better than most recent home performances but York were terrible, keeper and left back in particular. Top performances from Williamson, Spencer and Legge, another shaky game from Haynes but Page started slowly too to be fair, Ledson had another Ledson game, and if you can trust anyone to learn their lesson from a horrendous penalty miss like that it's Luke Berry.

4 points off 5th with a game in hand, this league is really fucking weird.

Either way, that song is due a dubstep remix and an airing in the NRE!

Sir Jimmy :ffs:

Thank you very much for him. I love a striker with a nasty streak in them. He's getting better the fitter he get's. He's strong, a superb first touch and can score a goal. I'm sure you already know this though, so thank you.

The Sir Jimmy decision really sums up what is wrong with our club. Sack the lot of them

We can't defend, and this has been the case all season. I wasn't at this horror show as I went to watch Harrogate Railway Athletic instead, but it sounds like Flinders is losing the plot having had absolute chaos going on in front of him all season. He's actually been one of our better players.
