I expect to lose this with Donny in much better form than when we played them at the Bescot. I see Andy Butler was 1 of 4 nominees for League 1 player of the month in January - no surprise to see that you have improved since the came to you. No Bradshaw for us, so it will be Grimes upfront - the only way we will score is via mistake, if a ball falls to one of our players from a scrambled set piece or a direct set piece/penalty - so we won't score if your competent at the back.

2-0 Donny.
315 Saddlers.

I'm not been funny but 315 isn't very good is it? I've always thought of you as a medium sized club but if it's under 500 it is very poor.

Anyway is ROK still your assistant manager? Great guy.

2-1

Not sure when we last took 500 to Donny? Ever? We're a small club with 3,500 home attendances mate. 10% of our home support would be 350, which wouldn't be bad. It's not a big game and people will be forking out for Wembley this week and 2 home games next week. Might not manage 300 to be honest.

Yeah ROK is our manager, seems a nice bloke. How's Butler getting on?

Christ, O'Connor in for Chambers at centre back, that makes us weak at the back and Ashley Grimes upfront alone with no Bradshaw in the 16...LOL. If Doncaster don't win to nil, comfortably - Dickov needs banning from football management.

guess that's Dickov banned then

:)

Chuffed with that considering Donny have been in decent form and we had no Chambers/Bradshaw - we don't normally do anything without Bradshaw. Our away form is actually, staggeringly good. In our last 6 away games in all competitions we have done this...

Coventry 0-0 Walsall
Sheffield United 1-1 Walsall
Milton Keynes Dons 0-3 Walsall
Preston 0-2 Walsall
Colchester 0-2 Walsall
Doncaster Rovers 0-2 Walsall

Truly remarkable considering our budget, lack of strikers until today and just general 'tinpotness' compared to some of the wealth in this league. If we could convert that to home form, we'd be in with a real shout of the play-offs, will it happen? I doubt it very much. Knowing the nature of this division and having about 16 teams who are of the same calibre, we will get battered at home to Dale on Tuesday night and then draw 0-0 with Vale on Saturday and be back to being about 16th.

We will enjoy this evening though!

PS - 6,029? I thought Donny got about 8k at home? 382 Saddlers. Not bad.

Donny were very, very direct. And we dealt with it well considering we're a team of 5ft midgets.

Strange isn't it. Although Swindon had 2 big forwards on boxing day and we looked extremely exposed against them. We normally deal quite well with direct hoofs, less so from crosses.

I commented on this in the Dons v Brizzle match thread, the man is a clueless bellshaft who can't wait to get excuses in despite having a huge expensively assembled squad with loanees that will be on large wages. Smith's dreamworld.
