Thought there’d be a thread for this already but there’s not, so here it is.

Decent from us today with a draw at Cheltenham, hit the post and the bar late on but with Fleetwood and Wimbledon both losing we climb out of the drop zone.

We play Fleetwood on Monday, huge game now.

Yes, very quiet here.

You didn't mention us.

9 points from last 12 now.
I was sure we were gone......

Derek Adams seems to be doing the business for us again.

Good win for us today, still a long long way to go, teams behind us have games in hand, and that Apr 23 game v Sheff Wed is looking like a serious brown trouser zone, but whatever, we got the win.

I’d have been right fucked off had I been an Argyle fan travelling the miles to watch that, PAFC looked well off the pace, and gave the air of either a team who’ve already got their playoff spot in the bag (they haven’t), or are already on the beach (they’re not).

Gills last week were scrapping for everything - and damn right, it’s what you want to see. Argyle really weren’t, they looked more like, say, an Oxford, where they think neat passing triangles win games. Not so much.

I would have thought that they’d have got a right rocket at half time, they did a double sub, but it seemed Steven Schumacher’s hairdryer must be a bit lacking in power, and whilst they were a *bit* better, not enough to change the game.

If we get to the playoffs (and yes, it’s a big if), I hope we face them.

Going to be a very interesting end to season, still plenty to play for both at the bottom and auto's/ playoffs.

Crewe are down. Donny are all but down, AFC Wimbledon can't seem to buy a win and all of a sudden find themselves with a gap to close and a lack of games to do so. Defo all to play for between Fleetwood, Gillingham and Morecambe. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out. Just hope we can secure our safety on Monday.

From a purely selfish point of view, I hope Morecambe stay up as they will be my closest club as I will be moving that way.

After 20 minutes we were dead and buried and facing a huge defeat. Totally outplayed. The fact we got to half time only 2 down was an achievement. 2nd half, a different game, we really went for them and deserved a point. I actually fancy us to get a result on Monday, whatever comes we showed real pride today which gives optimism for the final few games. Great support for the ,U's today, after half time never heard a murmur from them

Was a strange one - Gillingham were in our faces for the first 20 mins or so and deservedly went ahead, then sat back on the lead and let us in. We eventually equalised and they were on the ropes.

Then second half, they did exactly the same. Got ahead, then started time-wasting and doing everything but the thing that got them ahead in the first place - which in tune led to our equaliser.

Gills were unlucky with the shots that hit the post and bar, but they would have won had they not gone into spoil mode each time they got ahead.

We were very much on the beach.

We’re desperately weak up front, apart from Oliver we haven’t really got anyone to rely on (and it’s not like he’s been banging them in either). We’ve pulled ourselves back in to contention for safety (we were ten points behind when Harris took over), by relying on the odd goal and being organised at the back.

Frankly I’m amazed we’re still in with a shout of staying up after the mess that Evans left us in.

Why is this forum so lithargic ? I am not a prolific poster but the equivalent league 2 forum for today's Easter games already has over 239 posts, a staggering difference !

For most sides they simply don’t have anything to play for and this there isn’t huge motivation to comment. Even with our small chance of securing a playoff spot I’m a bit… Meh.

In fairness, (it may have changed subsequently) however when we were in League Two, it was a hive of activity particularly in comparison to League One even back then.

Beat Lincoln 3-2 with all the goals scored in the second half. Entertaining affair between two teams without much to play for.

Certainly couldn't have complained if Lincoln got a point. Both teams created plenty of chances. We just scored one more.

Hadn't realised there's a League One triple-header on Sky today - pretty rare for them to show one L1/L2 game let alone 3 in one day!

They need to fill their quota of L1/L2 games they're required to show per season, since they've sacked off showing L1/L2 games during international breaks in favour of Women's Super League.

What do you expect, anything with the word super in the title takes precident over lowly leagues 1 or 2. :£

That is a very assessment mate.
The only thing I would add is re the time wasting. I think any team scrapping for their lives would be trying to slow the game down when in front.
Secondly, we have.a small and injury ravaged squad so a lot of the players were out on their feet.
I would have settled for a point before the game but after being ahead twice and hitting the woodwork twice it feels a bit disappointing.
Oh well, we fully expected to be down by now so all credit to Neil Harris. He really has worked miracles whatever the final outcome.

I don't blame them for time-wasting at all, and have just said as much on our forum. There's a holier than thou element on there, but I agree, any team should be doing the same. It was just a shame, because if anything it hindered Gills more than helped.

Well, what a boring game this is so far. No atmosphere. Full of mistakes and niggly fouls. Hope it improves

I’m on holiday so not my usual round of games post.

Looking at the clubs getting promoted from league two this league forum should liven up next season.

Only 1 side looking like scoring today - Rotherham 1-0 up, 10 to go. Ipswich have been dreadful. Expected so much more from them

We were dreadful but I’m not surprised, there were two things I considered before the game:
We don’t win on tv (3 in the last 34, now 35)
We end team’s bad runs

According to TWTD you are the next coming and McKenna is Jesus almighty. Obviously not.

There was me expecting a tonking for Rotherham and now we have to beat Sheffield W. Oh and you fucked up my acca as well. :fl:

Cambridge are such a well drilled team. Wigan struggling at home and have offered next to nothing. Interesting!

Richardson learned a valuable lesson today. Always focus on the game in front of you. That line up was a disgrace and completely disrespectful to Cambridge. What is the point in focusing in the supposed harder game when you lose the home game?

Bench was stronger and then of the starting 11 we had 3 players out of position, a right mid at left back who can't use his left foot. A centre mid at right back, absolutely bizarre.

We had played 3-4-2-1 since Sunderland at home and performances were much better and dominating games and scored lots of goals.

Go to a 4-2-3-1 that we have struggled with all season and a completely expected defeat against Camridge who were the better team. Ended up long balling with no width first half and so easy for Cambridge. Easy winnings with the bookies when the line ups came out.

No more 4-2-3-1 again with this squad!

9pt gap with 4 left to play, Wigan are up.

Dingles, Plastics, Nobbers, Lashers & the Pie Heads next season, not bad for saving on petrol.

We were excellent tonight.

Brophy had his full back on toast and what a finish from Smith. That’s wins away Pompey, Newcastle, Ipswich and Wigan and all bloody deserved.

Only the first two go up automatically pal
Yeah, no idea how i've not seen MK Dons there, it'll be mad if Rotherham fuck this up after storming it for so long.
