Seems like everyone’s happy with that result apart from morecambe and southend!

Bonus point for Southend really, this weekend is the chance to claw back the gap a little.

Have to win Saturday now

Everybody is doing their best not to finish third it would seem.

5 points, 7 and we would be done for imo. The reason I’m still holding out hope is we have Colchester and Barrow to play

Pathetic performance yet again. Cox set us up to lose, embarrassing.

I feel sorry for our defenders, they have been ravaged by injuries all year yet perform relatively well and our midfielders cost them with their inability to pick up their men on set pieces.

I didnt expect much tonight with our injuries and Carlisle's home form but to not even try and win is unacceptable regardless.

Yes? Do we go up? If so then it’s only fair...

Can’t believe it’s back in our own hands. We simply have to win at Scunthorpe this weekend to get us back on track.

You'll be fine, our players are on their holidays and our manager has zero intention of winning another game this season.

On paper you are the ideal team to be playing. But it’s anybody’s guess how we’ll get on. Just hope the players decide that Now’s the time to start playing some bloomin footy!

That’s all fine but when you played like that against us it worked....!

Decent professional performance from us. The teams we've beaten on this mini-run haven't been the most competitive but you can only beat what's in front of you and it's good to see the players happy and confident to be winning again.

Carlisle have just about played themselves back into the play off race with this run. A win over Barrow on Saturday and I reckon they’re firmly back in it.

After the debates on here in the last 48 hours, if anyone wants to see some REALLY bad refereeing decisions try watching the Man City Dortmund highlights...

That’ll do, beat Morecambe Saturday and we could be mathematically safe.

Kendalcufc he was called.
I'm still here reading.

I enjoy reading message boards but don't really enjoy replying to stuff.

I find most posters to be overly negative and far too reactionary. Most opinions are best laughed at and then forgotten.

I used to post regularly on our old footymad forum, which back in the day was absolutely superb but since then I've preferred to just read.

I was struggling a few months ago stuck at home during the lockdown. Only seeing my wife and kids on a daily basis meant there was nobody to have a decent football discussion with like during normal times. Therefore I decided to pop back on here to release some of my thoughts out of my head.

We hit our bad run and I couldn't take the defeatist attitude some of our fans showed. Instead of digging deep into arguments it was best to ignore the negatively.

Yes we were poor, yes it was unacceptable and yes we had lots of excuses.

Things are looking better, I always had confidence that we are better than we were showing during those 13 games. For me it was a matter of time allowing our fitness to get back and being left with enough time to have a say on the season.

There's lots still to play for, we're definitely capable of achieving this season and it's a case of one game at a time.

Next week I'm back in a world where I can discuss football with people face to face on a daily basis which is brilliant.

The most important factor is that we play Newport the following Tuesday. That could be a massive six pointer.

Don't want to get dragged into another one of these arguments but.....

If we both win every game, but we at least match your margins of victory, we go up. Hence, it is in our hands.

quite correct in theory........you could win your last 7 games and not be promoted fact
So yes you are in the driving seat but to say it is in your own hands is not true.
We could win our last 7 and not go up but i think if either of us win our last 7 we go up as champions

The old saying the league table doesn’t lie. I’ve read all the posts. Little old Cambridge will fall away when Mullin stops scoring. Cambridge will fade away with such a small squad. Now it’s Cambridge must be top because of all the pens and decisions they get.

Suck it up lads. We are top on merit and unbeaten in 2021.

Can’t argue with that far as I’m concerned.

Just seen the Cambridge penalty and the Tranmere player has given the ref a decision to make there. It's a half arsed challenge and one you probably get a free-kick for anywhere else on the pitch.

Watching it myself, I'm not sure why Tranmere are so incensed, you'd be disappointed to give that away but it looks like there is contact. It's more of a penalty than the one Southend were awarded against us on Saturday in any case.

Have you seen anything about Otis Khan on social media about an injury?
