Manager of the season - Richie Wellens
Player of the season - Sam Hoskins

Team of the season

Vigoroux
Tchamadeu Touray Piergianni Beckles
Watt Moxon El Mizouni
Hoskins Cook Pinnock

Got everything right I think (bar Pinnock TOTS).

Plenty of boiled piss from Bradford fans on Twitter, but I think Hoskins deserved it over Cook. Hoskins output not too dissimilar despite having played RWB, RB and CM at various points, and not being an out and out striker of course.

Why do they do this before the season is actually finished? I'd give it your manager if he takes you up automatically which looks very likely now considering all the injuries you lot have had. Orient have been top all season to be fair but Brady has worked wonders

Can understand why Bradford fans would be upset with Cook not winning it, but as Eric pointed out, Hoskins has got 21 goals and 8 assists despite not playing up front, playing as a winger and wing back all year.

Not sure how Paul Smyth has not made it over Pinnock who I would say is not one of our 5 best performers throughout the season.

I am fully in agreement also, surely you should wait for the entire season to play out before the votes are put in, very strange.

I watched a bit of it on youtube and glancing at the live comments feed, it would seem like the Bradford fans in the comments expected the League two team of the season to be a 1-11 of Bradford players.

I also watched it and saw plenty of "Bradford Bradford" "Up the chickens" etc but never saw the comments you're alluding to. Mind you I watched all the awards and not just 'a bit'.

I’d obviously agree but also can’t knock Wellens getting it because they’ve been so far clear

Would have had Smyth over Pins too

Is piergianna just in there coz he scores a few? Everytime I watch him on highlights he always seems proper dodgy at defending.

Junior Tchamadeu won the Young Player of the Season award too, which will hopefully bump his price up a little further this summer.

Nonsense, only one of our players deserved to be in it. Maybe Halliday for the Colchester player but that’s just comparing where the teams are. What people were pissed off with is Cook not getting player of the season, just the 36 goal involvements. But what do you expect when these votes are done pre March. Here’s an idea wait until the season is actually over…

Maybe they voted that one week in October when Hoskins was in front of Cook on goals/assists?

Stick Andy Cook at wing back and the fat bastard would keel over before half time. Clearly one of the considerations in voting.

But does Hoskins play for Bradford? If he did then he’d be player of the century

why do Bradford fans think its a top goalscorer award?
I doubt those voting watch each player 90 minutes per week, so on goals and assists Cook is comfortably ahead including contributing to over 50% of our total goals. What else would you judge on? Shall we stick Cook at CB for a few week is that how it’s chosen?

Why even have a vote and awards night? Just give it to the player who scores the most. That's obviously the only thing that matters.

Right?

Well it’d obviously help considering no other players in the league rate him, another string to his bow and all that

Look when the vote opened and who was top scorer/goal contributor. Very naive if you don’t think goals and assists are the key contributor. If the vote was at the end of the season it’s be a different story.

I think the only fair way to judge the player and Manager of the season is to pick a player and the Manager from whichever team got the furthest in the FA Cup.

I mean 99/100 the top scorer also wins poty. Not necessarily how it should work but more often than not it does.

As for Cook, I think he deserved it but we're all biased. What's noticeable with him is that despite his goals, his all round game including his chance creation and hold up play has improved beyond belief.

How many times did Hoskins win Player of the Month award at RWB?

Did he ever win it, and if he did, was it based on his goal/assists contribution or where exactly on the grass he plied his trade?

Thought so.

Move over Haaland no player of the season for you, Milner can cover 3 positions that’s what really matters. Goals don’t win game’s versatility does, how dare Cook not go on the wing or full back.

It definitely would have helped his cause. Elevate a good season to a great one.

When did he move to wing back?

The last 6 or so games he has started there, over the course of the season he has played just over 1/5th as a Wing Back or Full Back.

Both has amazing seasons so couldnt really argue with either winning it. Isn't this award voted for by the other L2 players?
