Well not going to lie. I did not see that coming and frankly we thoroughly deserved to win the game too. Just give me a trip to that beauty of a stadium Everton have now and we can make our exit happily.

Congratulations Vale, hope Tom Brady enjoyed that.

I’ll have to see if I can find the highlights of the Charlton game, sure it’d be a treat to see that old drama queen Jones tearing his hair out.

We were light years from being convincing and only scraped through on penalties against a predictably physical and direct Bromley side - not a dig, it works.

But we’re in the draw for now.

It’s either that or after they disposed of the shite last night it’ll be Bradford away. So it is written so it shall be done.

We've avoided Wycombe and Bradford supporters of all of our clubs will be relieved to hear.

Arsenal at home perfect.

Fucking toss. Wigan away - both clubs will be fuming about that one.

On reflection though, maybe it’s better this way.

Go out to a fellow unglamorous side and no-one cares.

Certainly I can’t imagine us ever putting in a classic lower league “blood ‘n’ thunder/get stuck in” cup performance under Dodds.

So if we did get a glamour tie, we’d basically just be left with a bunch of stuff on the commentary saying how we looked like a shit Man City, and we’d just be beaten by someone with a better pass completion rate than us.

Stirring stuff.

This Cup was ruined years ago but the Grimsby shows any game can be worth a watch. United were the team to first play a real understrength team on this and then it spread to the FA Cup and ruined that. Wigan has 3119 fans in the last round including 846 Stockport. But that was more than they got against Notts County in the first round. Wigan really have got non league support still. I would be pleasantly surprised if they sold out the Bolton away game next month, They have been given around 3300 tickets

Ironically one of those first occassions was Port Vale v Man United at Vale Park in 1994... we kicked a fuss and complained as our fans had turned up expected to see Cantona, Kanchelskis, Ince etc instead they go these random kids....

Those kids were Scholes, The Neville Brothers, Beckham and Butt
