Good to get through, especially with half a team out injured.

Since we had the world record for consecutive shoot out wins we then went on a run of losing every one, seemingly back to winning them again which is nice.
Anyway, on the game, conceding from set pieces once again because we bloody love it.

From the sounds of things we had some good chances to go two up before being slapped in the second half. That makes a change from parking the bus at 1-0 so I'll take it

Thought Crewe played very well first half tonight but once we could make changes then as it went on we looked the more likely.

Certainly acquitted themselves well tonight penalty shootout excepted.

All the best to the Alex for the rest of the season.

Going to be Salford v Man U or another big team next round.

Gary Neville will love it.

Hopefully Mansfield and Bradford get a good one.

Losing at Hillsborough in the FA Cup last season after such a good performance felt really harsh so nice to get a win there.

Probably get Salford away like.

We haven't had a decent tie for years. We'll probably get Salford.

Smith, Halliday and Osedabe had big chances to make it far more comfortable, shame we can’t hit a barn door. Anyway happy days onto the third round, hope for a big tie but will probably be Mansfield or Salford away.

Equally, if you hadn't been given that exceptionally soft penalty you wouldn't have scored all night.

Hope we get this Hanlan signing over the line. Dalby is woeful.

Ifs and buts. If you hadn’t get bought out bought out by someone nobody could have predicted in a million years you’d probably be playing Bradford PA instead. Thankfully for us both ifs and buts mean nothing.

Need more then that I'm afraid. 1 dimensional, no plan B, no doubt we'll improve with Mullin and Hayden coming back but I think we're 3 or 4 decent lads away from a playoff team. Or a couple of players and a decent manager

Well 5 good un's away at Sunderland then 4 not so good un"s tonight. No disgrace in taking an ever improving Vale all the way, can't let the disappointment of how it unfolded affect Saturday's match.

I mean, to score a goal that involves 40 straight passes in a row away at a side in the championship - i mean that goal

What's that got to do with anything? You are the one who started with the What Ifs.

Okay we’ll ignore the comments after the game where we played Man City and had our goal under siege.

They just need a decent striker or two and they’ll be a very good L2 side.
