Huddersfield away, wank tie.

Hopefully wholesale changes but Diaby is injured and Evans suspended. Who knows about Olosunde, I imagine a RWB won't be signed up in time.

Lowe has confirmed that youngsters O'Neill, Amaral, Slater, and Leigh will be on the bench, I'd like to have seen at least 2 start to be honest.

Maybe something like.

Cornell
Storey, Bauer, Cunningham
McCann, Browne, Ledson, Fernandez
Woodburn
Riis, Parrott

Newport County at home for us. Think we will be much changed with fringe players getting a look in need to get the likes of Mendes Gomes, Muskwe some games to see what they have got and if it’s enough to impact the first team.

Quite looking forward to it, should be a competitive game I think with us being much changed and Newport probably viewing as one of the more winnable championship ties/scalps they could claim.

Not a great showing really. Kind of strange game think Newport had 3 shots and scored them all whereas we had a lot of the ball but really struggled for clear cut chances.

Up to the opener from Mendes Gomes with a great strike we were well in control, then we lose the ball (think mendes Gomes was fouled and ultimately had to go off because of the challenge but still a poorly defended goal) they go up the other end to make it 1-1 and suddenly it becomes a difficult game from really nowhere. We made jt 2-1 with really our only incisive piece of play around the box all game but then again give it away in a silly area and did the same for the third too.

Balance wasn’t great and the changes we made made that worse I felt, which is the issue I had with us going all in on attacking areas whilst neglecting investment in midfield in particular. The lack of depth in midfield and central defence was exposed tonight really, certainly at the end there was no midfield to speak of so we ended up going long way too early. Not a huge deal and if we win Saturday this is long forgotten but in attack where we’ve invested weve been poor so far which is the concerning thing for me

I don't think it can get more embarrassing than losing to Barrow.

Lovely

Just watched the highlights this morning and…Matt Macey everything I thought he was! Wasn’t quite so obvious at the ground especially for the second goal but really should have done better on all 3. Considering he only really had to do those 3 things in the game, that’s a shocker of a debut for him.

Pretty confident that Fernandez could be the best wingback in the division this year, single handedly destroyed Huddersfield last night.

That was the 29th time we have been to Kenilworth Rd in our history!! the previous 28 didn't turn out so well D8 L20 even in our non league days the best we got was a draw so last night was a nice monkey to get off our backs, as for the game you had the majority of the ball and the most shots on goal but like you were upset with your keepers performance we were upset with ours, your first goal day seen all the way but let it go through his hands and to get beat at his near post as he did for your second is criminal for any keeper but these results happen that's the joy of football.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

1350 sold for tonight, not bad for the shitty cup.

Not expecting a raft of changes, Bauer, Diaby, McCann, Evans, and Woodburn to come in maybe.

1 down after 8 minutes, raffle winner Olosunde at fault. Back to the Central Reserve League for you.

This lineup had no chance from kick off, strong side from Wolves. Cornell making his debut, DJ at LWB against Adama Traore haha.

2 down, Cornell saved a pen after it was given away by the hopeless Olosunde. DJ being ripped down the other side as expected, he's clueless in the position.

Nothing to report at the other end.

Typical league cup performance so far.

We’ll be mid table if Sarr and Pedro go .

Sounds like we gave them a really good game in the second. If Potts started instead of Olosunde then we probably take that to penalties.

Good for the young guys Leigh & Slater getting 10 minutes under their belt.

Seems like Cornell had a very good debut in goal.

I hate to say this, but there is no value in this competition any more. When teams even at L1 and L2 level making umpteen changes, you know there is something wrong.

It is a bit insulting that no team apart from the £50K winners cheque gets any prize money paid out.

Why it’s so dominated by the top teams and will continue to be .

Mind you we had first team squad members playing - they were just rubbish .
