Same debates going on on The Fishy too. I get that ST holders get priority and stuff but it's not really policed well. ST holders getting away with passing them onto mates and getting more tickets than they should be allowed to (although I've benefited from this myself to be fair!) as well as whenever there are problems with the portal they shut it down and give priority to those going to the ticket office which rightly enrages exiles. It does my head in that we don't have an away points system, I've done 25+ aways in the last two seasons and don't get anything for it.

You’re right but there’s also no way of policing it as you say, i probably do 10/13 away games normally depending on how they fall, usually none south of birmingham.

But then i also know fans who are in groups (through mates as you say) who share them between them etc.

tricky one

Stockport away for us to start with, and we are told that they are second in the betting behind Wrexham to win League Two.

A bit odd when we are told that Wrexham, Notts County and us are nailed on. Confusing.

The odds will be because we lost the play off final.

Donny away on a Tuesday night is utter wank. Stockport away on new years day is utter wank. Potential for a night in Manchester to bring in the new year which is the year of the Stag.

I'm in Dublin for County away too but may fly out there Saturday night now and take in the England game the night before at Wembley

you’ll have to stop over in manchester when we’ve got salford or accrington.

Crewe, Grimsby, Donny all away in the first month, although the latter being on a Tuesday mean they will miss out on a big chunk of revenue so they have more right to be annoyed than us.

The Notts County stand with 4,000 plus in is dangerous in the concourse as it’s way to small, Grimsby away end was a shambles with 1200 in last season mind and I’m not fussed that I’ve got to miss it.

The grimsby away end is shambolic, but the whole ground looks like it needs knocking down tbh, it’s not fit for purpose and it’s real hazard. County is around 3500 max i believe.

Stockport County.
Surely Harris comes to The Carpet to actually play this time? Real park the bus merchant last season even with the January money. The pressure will be on him to come and try and take the game to us.

That’s not in Harris’s DNA.
He could have Kane and M’Bappe up front and he would be caution first,
This is make or break for NH this season.
He has, or will have, new toys.
No excuses.
If he ain’t challenging by November/December he will be gone.

The game up at yours was easily park the bus stuff as we needed the points for safety, but down here you were lucky to get a draw in the end too.

What's the max allocation at Bradford? Will be nice to go there early on instead of for a dead rubber like last season.

Away end has always been like that by all accounts, the ground and fan experience for home support has improved a lot since the takeover though. BP is just so old, that's the crux of it. Still, it's one of the best away ends for making noise in just have to make sure you get there in enough time to not be at the back.

Being sat close to the ket goblins in the home section was amusing, but they literally covered a bunch of seats off in that corner in netting (even though we sold out) and the only way out was to climb to the back and go round, I’m not one to moan at stuff like that but it really was daft at Grimsby last season. If Mansfield did that SAG would shut the stadium down

Unfortunately we are having problems at Field Mill now due to the fact the Yorkshire cowboy Haslam cut loads of corners when it was redeveloped including not moving the stadium back so we have more room on Bishop street and now crowds are getting bigger it’s also having affect on the other stands.

We can’t even share the away end when the likes of Northampton and Notts County bring a pitiful following because only the Quarry lane end was made to segregate but SAG made us change away ends. Absolute joke.

It’s weird as I’ve seen a lot of fans of other clubs on social media saying that Grimsby is a great away day and they love Blundell Park but I agree that our away end looks like it would be absolutely shit to be in.

Last time we were down here I enjoyed it until you got to your seats. The little bar you have behind the away end is one of the more memorable inside a ground that I've ever been to for sure.

Stockport County.
Classic ground Grimsby.

You can like something and it be pretty shit at the same time, that's the away trip to Blundell Park in a nutshell.

I was with about 20 others in the stairway as there wasn’t enough space, it’s certainly an experience.

Oh it’s an alright day easy to get to.

grimsby is a bit like going to blackpool (they’re like footballing wetherspoons) you’ll know what you’re going to get, enjoy it and have a laugh which we normally do.

Just saying the away end really isn’t that safe. The little bar is a positive as dippy says

When you're stood on the stairwells at away matches and the stewards give up trying to move you it means you're massive.
