Egypt flight from Paris to Cairo Disappears from Radar

Eygpt airflight from paris to cairo has disappeared from radar as of 4am this morning

Edit; Should have landed around 1.30am so now serious cause for concern at 5am.

In the pilot's last communication, with Greek authorities in Greek air space, there was no mention of any problems and the flight was proceeding as expected. Just 2 minutes after leaving Greek airspace it vanished.

Egypt military denies distress signal received

In the past hour, EgyptAir said on its Twitter account that a distress signal had been received by Egypt's military from flight MS804 (though it is unclear whether they meant an automated signal or a manual one).

Now, Egypt's military, in a statement, says no such signal was received.

At the moment yes. Not confirmed as a terrorist attack, could be a mechanical fault of some sort.

There seems to be conflicting reports surrounding everything about it at the minute but definitely with regards to whether any distress calls were sent from the plane at any point. You'd think that if it was a mechanical fault, the pilots would report to ATC unless of course it is such a catastrophic fault that gave them no time
