Jones made more passes to our keeper than all the ball boys in tournament so far I think.

Well, 2 reserve sides playing with all the fluency and quality of 2 reserve sides. Belgium shading it, but we've looked dangerous enough when we've got at their defence. Just wish the players would stop taking extra touches and shoot when the opportunity presents itself.

I always liked Neville but he’s a proper bellend isn’t he? He’s so negative!

And before the game desperately trying to find excuses the the dreadful management during his tenure at the last Euros.

Delph is fucking gash, shouldn't have been anywhere near the squad.

Brilliant defending there Rose. Hope you enjoy your outing, because you'll be back on the bench for the rest of the tournament with play like that.

How did Delph make this squad ffs?

Because he warms the bench for Man City?

He started for them at left back until he got injured mid-season and he was really good too. He's easily good enough to get into the England squad. He's also versatile, ideal bench player really.

Martinez always chats bollox about the performance being more important than the win.

Well, none of the players brought in today should start again on what we've seen so far. I can forgive a lack of understanding, but some of the touches and decision making has been atrocious.

Always good to judge players in one off meaningless games. ;)
Well I’d judge him at the World Cup final but unfortunately he’ll be on the bench

Rashford, that was abysmal. Wasn't even close, was a yard wide and Courtois barely grazed it.

Well Rashord you had a chance to claim you name in the first team and you miss that, oh well we have to put with Sterling then now.

Can’t believe Rashford didn’t score that.

He’s normally so clinical

He's the opposite, he only scores when he doesn't have time to think. Horrible in 1v1 situations.

I don't think you guys can glean much from this game anyway. A team bundled together having never played together before for a dead rubber. These are still very good squad players and will look better coming off the bench as part of a side that understands each other.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
If Sterling has missed that there’d be a crowdfunded to send him home. I don’t think the comms have mentioned it since.

Vardy not covered in glory either so far.

I can forgive him because he's 20 and still developing as a player, but Rashford has been abysmal tonight. Set pieces awful, finishing, decision making, all rubbish.

ITV commentary wondering how badly England want to win their group. With 10 minutes to go and England needing a goal, they brought on Danny Welbeck(because he hadn't played yet) over the top scorer. That tells you how much they want to win.

And as I'm typing that, Welbeck does that! Fuck me.

Well done lads, precisely what we needed - secure the safest route to the final without making it look too obvious - besides bringing Welbeck on towards the end, we nearly blew our cover there.

Everything in it's right place.

Bring on Colombia.

8 changes. Shit, disjointed performance and a loss. What a surprise.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
i'd laugh if England and Belgium went out vs columbia and Japan next week considering the way both have gone you'd think its some forgone conclusion and looking past that was more important.

That tonight at least looked and felt like a normal England World cup match.

This is only a good thing if we beat Columbia and that's a big if. Could be our best opportunity for years if we get past them.

We will lose to Colombia, it’s the only team I haven’t wanted to face after the groups.

Absolutely shocking performance. I don’t understand why Southgate wanted to lose that game. Clearly if he wanted to win he would have made changes for Kane etc.

That’s momentum gone for sure, if I feel deflated and unmotivated, how do the players feel?
