We're Casillas, we were required to go for Spain. It's a rule.

Surprised nobody went for Italy. I had a feeling the wily Conte would outwit Spain who have looked average this tournament.

Points very much the same going into the final 2nd round match. Remember, after this, Olsen, Zagorakis and Casillas will have until the first quarter final kick off Thursday to make their edits.

Advantage task 5 - Only Connect
As I'm at tennis tomorrow evening, it's a good time to play Only Connect as you can get on with it in your PMs.

How to play
I'll be sending you photos of 3 grids in your PM. Each grid will have 16 answers. These 16 answers can be split into 4 lots of 4 with a link for each lot of 4. It's your job to identify the 4 that go together for each link and then what the link between them actually is.

Your entry in your PM for a grid might look like this if you get a Euro 2016 themed grid:

Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker - Spurs players in the England squad

Harry Kane, Alvaro Morata, Mario Gomez, Oliver Giroud - Strikers at the Euros

Cesc Fabregas, David Silva, Hector Bellerin, David de Gea - Premier League players in the Spain squad

Joe Hart, Wayne Hennessy, Gianluigi Buffon, Manuel Neuer - Goalkeepers at the Euros

It's a bit like a puzzle this because Harry Kane could easily fit in the Spurs players link, Morata is Spanish so people may be looking for a link between him and the 4 Premier League spaniards. De Gea is a goalkeeper so people may think he should be in the final link. However, to get it all right, it's all got to fit together.

Tricky, but that's what makes it a compelling and very annoying game. Team work will be essential here.

The grids
I can confirm that the 3 grids will have the following themes:

  • World Cup
  • Premier League
  • Random football links

Points
If you manage to get the correct 4 people together, then you'll get a point.

If you manage to get the link between the 4 correct as well, then that's an extra 2 points.

Therefore, 3 points per link in total, which means a total of 12 points is available for each grid, allowing you a maximum overall total of 36 points from this game.

Start/Finish time
I will be sending the grids over to you between 6pm and 6.05pm tomorrow (Tuesday). Your deadline will be between 11pm and 11.05pm (Tuesday) giving you 5 hours in total to do your best.

The results and next game task will either be posted that evening or early Wednesday morning when I get up from work.

If you are struggling to get on here aside from via your phone, use www.unblockanything.com to log on via the laptop. Works a treat.

Thank fuck for Stevencc and C&B in ours, completed it in 27 minutes.

Me, Murphy and TCM couldn't get on due to the shit website.
That's really impressive, fair play.

I'll do my best to get the results up tonight (although not in as much detail as I'd like - just simply the answers and each team's score). Ashame the website has been shit but it's been the same for all teams I suppose.

For future reference, if it does go shit, log in through unblockeverything.com.

I'll also try and get the next game week task up tonight. The deadline for that will be Thursday at 7pm so a bit more time with that to discuss.

A few of you put in valiant lone efforts with very shitty connection so thank you for that.

The lack of website access is a real shame. I will post game week task 5 up in a bit and will tart it up tomorrow with some bolding when I can.

Well done all teams (although nobody got the very obscure David O'Leary one :p )

Fucking hell!!! I was sure I'd screwed up at least half of the first two. Should have got the England link in the top one really. O'Leary I possibly would have got given longer given the Leeds connection but was mainly focused on Baros at Liverpool which got me nowhere tbh.

Game week task 5 - Categories

For this week, you have to place each of the 8 remaining teams under a category for their quarter final match. You can only use each team once.

Categories

Set scenarios

Goals scored more than 1.5 (7 points)

Goals conceded more than 1.5 (7 points)

Possession more than 60.5% (7 points)

Attempts on target more than 6.5 (7 points)

---------------------------------------------------------

Points per scenarios

Bookings (pts per booking, 2pts for a red card)

Fouls (pts per foul)

Corners (pts per corner)

Predict a line up 1-11 (pt per correct player)

The set scenarios mean that if you choose a team that achieved this scenario, you will get 7 points. If they don't achieve the scenario, you get 0.

The points per scenarios mean you score according to the scenario. So for instance, if you put France under fouls and they make 8 fouls, you'll get 8 points.

For the predict a line up scenario, you don't need to set your team out in a formation. Just simply predict the 11 players who will start the match for the team of your choice.

Remember, you can only use each team once, so you'll have to strategically decide where you're putting each of the 8 teams.

Advantages

Team Zagorakis- 2 jokers
Team Casillas - 1 joker
Team Gullit - 1 joker

These are a very beneficial advantage to have but use them/it well. I've not given you many since there's only 8 categories anyway.

Deadline

Thursday 30th June at 7pm (before the lines up for Portugal/Poland come in)

Good effort from Me and G dragon there...... :cool1:

Was happy with the Dutch moves. I think I had that penalty one in the first one but we changed it.

I also had scorers but had Linker instead of Forlan. Lucky we don't need any advantage.
