I really dont think there are that many to choose from ,hes clearly had enough of the criticism so hes decided to go hes done well imo ,but expectations are totally ridiculous a semi final team is about right for england atm they played one decent team and blew it

Thats the trouble though, as soon as they play anyone decent, they blow it.
He doesnt have the nous to beat the best, plays players out of position and continues to play those who are underperforming etc.
Foden seems to be this generations Matt le Tissier, great at club level but shite on the big stage

Who can though

We need someone to come in who forms a identity, and doesn’t squeeze in players that don’t fit in how we are trying to play, that’s why Spain, who individually do not compare to England are a better team.

Southgate deserves a lot of credit for what he’s done but we have no identity in style of play whatsoever and tactically he was utterly hopeless.

I said years ago we would never win anything under him, and even this euro once we got out the group I said we would scrape to the final and lose to Spain - all very boring and predicable.

Maybe they will appoint the current Under 21 coach who won the Euros last year with that in mind ?
