Will be tough for Ainsworth to get the players heads up after Saturday's heartbreak at Spurs. Should be several changes as Cowan-Hall and Akinfenwa both have thigh injuries but Michael Harriman is back from a groin injury. I would snatch your hand off for a point as like us Exeter are on a very good run in the league, going for 1-1 myself in the prediction league.

Looks like the weather will be on the damp side so it could make things a little tricky for both teams.

Would love to think we can keep the run going and that Wycombe will be feeling sorry for themselves after Saturday.

I expect it will be very close and I predict a 1-0 win for City. McAlinden with a late winner.

any decent man -manager/motivator should be telling there players to hold their heads up high!!
they did themselves and our league proud!!
they deserve to go into their next game with a knowledge that they can hold their own against
one of the best teams in england

Cheers Oakey. If anyone can lift the players Ainsworth can as his man management is brilliant,he knows when to put an arm round them and when to give them a verbal kick up the arse.

Suspect our run will end tomorrow, we've not got a good record against Wycombe...

Why? They scored three against Spurs, they can more than hold their heads up. Just watch out for a slow start - after the Liverpool games we let Stevenage score 1 in the first minute. And then we scored 4.

1-1 draw for me.

anything other than a Exeter win is crime against football, Wycombe should be relegated and never seen on a football pitch again!

Another agonising defeat would be nice.

It will end in a draw so LUMP ON!

A point here would be good for City. The Chairboys are a "physical" side which we dont tend to like. I'd be happy with a draw.

Neither team will want to lose, I'll be having some money on the draw.

Cheers mate. We have £1000,000 from the checkatrade tin pot thing, £2,000,000 from the Jordon Ibe transfer from Liverpool to Bournemouth plus The FA Cup money so we're financially in a good place right now. :£ :bravo:

So why is Watkins on the bench? Injured? Surely too late move on?

Wow what a game. We totally dominated and to be honest 4-2 flatters Wycombe somewhat. Although I appreciate Wycombe we're missing some key players but they were still no mugs.

As soon as Watkins came on with 35 to go we battered them and showed some excellent pace and movement. Great finish from Watkins at the end and Wheeler now has 6 goals in his last 6 games, which is fantastic.

Superb atmosphere on the bank tonight too which was brilliant to be part of. Have to say I was impressed with the numbers of Wycombe fans that made the trip so soon after shelling out for a trip to Spurs, so fair play.

So, the run continues and we're now 4th, which I still can't believe.

Bring on Crewe!

If he's not given a 10 year deal, I will be gutted.

Never doubted him:bow:

What the fuck Ainsworth was thinking making 7 changes from Saturday? If you take the piss like he did last night you deserve to lose so no complaints from me as it seems we were second best, hopefully he'll go back to our usual starting XI against Portsmouth on Saturday.

Weren't great? Did you watch the same game?

Ok so it wasn't perfect but I thought we played terrifically well. First half we were easily the better team bar a 5 minute spell when they scored.

Second half we were rampant, but agree you with the cricket score bit.

A really big win for us! Not getting carried away yet but it's hard not to be extremely pleased considering where we were at a couple months ago. A lot of players have really stepped up their level of performance and in Watkins we've got a genuine match winner. So fortunate to have him still at the club.

Really big opportunity against Crewe on Saturday. Excluding ourselves, Doncaster and Carlisle, the other 10 of the top 13 are all playing each other so points will be dropped. Important to take advantage of this and keep the run going.

Well done Exeter, good result. Why was Watkins on the bench, is he carrying an injury or did Tisdale just think they did not need the big guns on the pitch?
