There's idiots and wankers everywhere. The people who do that come under this category, however the majority out there were there to celebrate. I'm not here to make excuses for these knobs, and I'm sure no one else is. There were 42,000 people there today, of which I assume 4,200 would be baggies fans, so take that down to 37,800 fans, of those, say there were 400 knobheads, at a push, leaving 37,400 most likely decent Villa fans there today.

I havnt said otherwise so Im not ure what you are trying to contradict?

No didn't go Stu, was at work till 5pm today..

If you do catch the highlights, you will see Delph get mobbed and he is laughing and high giving the fans in celebration, obviously a few fans over stepped the mark by nicking his armband and left boot and that biting incident..

Did he actually say it scared him?

If we win tomorrow, and go on the pitch, Id have the same opinion - and we are a supposed small club. Just for the record.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Was it not that a load of people thight it was full time when it wasn't?

Fans cheer a free kick because they think it's full time all the time.

A celebratory pitch invasion should never be seen as a bad thing.

I've only over invaded the pitch at Barnet....It was a right laugh.

I'd love to do it at Chelsea but there's no chance anyone's getting near the pitch at Stamford Bridge.

I'm not contradicting anything, I'm purely making the point that as far as it goes in the big picture, it's a small minority who think it is ok to invade the pitch during the game.

If the semi final wasn't at Wembley then there wouldn't be a pitch invasion IMO.

Unfortunately for most fans football is going to suck. It's not like Man utd fans where they don't even care about winning the League Cup enough to stay after the game and watch their team lift the trophy. If a lower league team beat a prem side, there's a pitch invasion. If a team avoid relegation, there's a pitch invasion. We now have fans that haven't seen much success here, getting to Wembley is worth celebrating for us now, that's where we are at....

I don't like the invasion but understand it, when a few do it loads more join in. We should have had police all the way around the ground to stop that. The stuff before the final whistle was very silly but I feel the media are blowing it up to be more serious than it was. It was pretty similar to when we beat Blackburn in the semi finals and then I remember MOTD saying 'Look what it means to the fans'.....

Police have also released early footage of the fan that is suspected of biting Fabian Delph

Villa scoring two goals in a match sparks pitch invasion nowadays?

Yes.

This is a bit ott but the FA should not let teams like Bradford play if their pitch isn't up to standard. It completely puts the opposition at a disadvantage.

The new Prem' deal should pay for all teams in the Football League to have heat lamps for their pitches . Apparently they make a big difference, better pitches might go a long way to improving the football in the lower leagues, therefore getting better value for money (for ticket prices).

True, but Bradford have played 20+ games on it this season, where as before the game we had done about 30 minutes of pre-match training.

That pitch was the worst i've seen at a Football league club comfortably, it was impossible to pass along the floor. No surprise the pass completion was 50%.

Gutted that we didn't make our slight second half dominance pay by making more chances really. First half was very even, second half we should have created more and that's why I came away feeling like it was a defeat. Can't see us getting anything out of the replay either, but I guess you never know.

It's the beauty of the cup. Don't be a sore loser now from your 4th round early escape.

Don't be so precious. It's a disadvantage for Bradford when they have to play teams like Chelsea on a half grass/half plastic pitch. At least Bradford's pitch is natural unlike the genetically modified specimens of the Premiership.

I think there should just be one draw held in August. First name out of the hat wins the FA Cup.

It's the only way we can deal with such cheating Bradford have shown. I also think it will curb the unfairness in earlier rounds; we were knocked out by Sheff Utd because they had better players and the FA did nothing about it.

They beat us on a perfect pitch at Stamford Bridge....and deserved it too.

There's no excuse for having a pitch that bad other than to put your opposition at a disadvantage . Parkinson has never lost a home game in the cup at Bradford...I'm not surprised with a pitch like that.
