These fuckers are a proper bogey team of ours. Feel like that Muldoon has been scoring against us for a decade.

My parents live about 200 yards from the Greyhound. Small world

As does my stepdad, was much better when the village pub was still there opposite santos

Hopefully the new owners of MK will see the failed circus for what it is & use this opportunity of another embarrassing defeat at the hands of the fans whose team they stole to fold the shambles & use the space for something useful, every defeat to Wimbledon must hurt like hell given the background of how this failed franchise came about, time to bring MK City back from the dead (a death caused when that wrong un Winkleman & his circus rolled into town. Anyone over the age of 30 can go back to supporting whoever they supported before & the young uns can watch a team climb the leagues in the proper way, like Wimbledon had to do.

Yep couldn't agree more. It was easy today to be honest and we probably should've won by more.

Is there any club that don’t have Harrogate as a bogey team?

It feels like they are everyones. They've certainly been ours for the past 5 years or whatever it is.

Definitely one of ours. It amazes me how they don't finish higher in the league when they seem to be everyone's bogey team!

Well done to them this afternoon, great result againt Hollywood Wales. Hope we don't draw them in the next round though

As a fellow Don, why are you so cruel to your cousins?

We've not won at Stadium MK since 2014 and that was in the trophy when it was a decent competition.

Hopefully our away form will take an upturn from now on.

Yep us too, we’ve played 6 league games against them with 1 draw and 5 defeats.

3 games - 3 wins against Harrogate.
3 wins, 2 draws, 0 defeats and generally performed well against them.

Suppose with Bradford and Doncaster an element of Yorkshire derby about it for them?

I agree. But the situation that you had there was worth celebrating. You were playing a strong team in your own division and scored a late equaliser. I think that's worth an exuberant celebration. Beating a lower league reserve team and struggling to do so for 2/3 of the match would make me feel a bit embarrassed more than anything.
You go to the trouble of travelling to an away game, win, and then would be embarrassed to celebrate? Really? Are you sure you are a football fan?

It’s a hard ground to go to for sure, until last season we hadn’t beaten them in 6 attempts, a very physical side also. The ground has a very non-league feel to it.

Kinda went and put 13 past them in the 2 games last season mind

Quite a lot of stags fans come from the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border on both sides.
I was told once 90% of Mansfield are Forest fans.

Harrogate do seem to have a remarkable record against Northern teams, especially Yorkshire ones.

I even remember Harrogate thrashing us 7-2 in a pre-season friendly when they were 6th tier and we sent a fairly strong squad over there about 10 years ago!

I can't confirm the percentage yet but they too have clearly benefited from the Red Dogs recent success. Many a Forest fan in North Notts have Mansfield as their second team.

The demise of Milton Keynes City FC had nothing at all to do with Wimbledon moving to Milton Keynes, they were a works team originally (Mercedes Benz) and then became MK City, then decided to fold. So did Doncaster climb the leagues? Or were they elected into the football league? All those years of being an established club and your average attendance is lower than MK Dons, that's progress...

Yes, he can read this (https://mkdsa.org.uk/archive/history.html) if he wants more facts about MK City or anything else related to the move.

I am sure he is well aware of the fact Wimbledon owners in 1980 helped establish the link to Milton Keynes and MK City FC, actually contributing to their eventual demise more than Winkelman did (no, thought not), but I assume he will choose to instead remain an ill-informed AFCW puppet (muppet?) instead and continue to comment on things he is clueless about, which is a shame as I like Doncaster Rovers as our Don cousins.

To help him out a bit, I have pulled one excerpt https://mkdsa.org.uk/archive/1981Excerpts from Dons in the League.pdf...
  • "In 1980 Chairman Ron Noades claimed that the Borough of Merton did not want the club and that he was in talks to take Wimbledon FC to Milton Keynes. Chairman Ron Noades and directors Jimmy Rose, Bernie Coleman and Sam Hammam were voted onto the board of Milton Keynes City FC. Noades stated there was no future for Wimbledon FC at Plough Lane. Noades acknowledged that Milton Keynes had long term potential and could support a multi-purpose stadium."

Harrogate Town are up there with the Bermuda Triangle in terms of mysteries. They're everyone's bogey team and no one ever beats them, but they always finish about 17th.

Hopefully he didn't...it's more like 95%! :)

I can honestly say I do not know one single Forest fan that attends stags, a lot like to see us do well I think, more to do with Clough than anything else.

Yep something that happened 30 years prev definitely caused more of the demise than the man who actually made it finally happen. Before of course Wimbledon looked at a merger with QPR and Milton Keynes tried to steal.QPaR and Luton. Wimbledon also looked at Gatwick and Dublin of course.
None of the those individuals were involved anymore so the link is tenous at best.

I mean the book you quote is written by a one of a family of life long Wimbledon fc/afc wimbledon supporters so hardly ill-informed afcwmuppet as you seem to lime the document.

Also at the time Noades would argue and indeed did argue he was trying to get a better deal from Merton.
Anyway this is all off FA cup topic.
