Pretty interesting draw that for afew Local Sides with Notts County at Salford and Chesterfield at FCUM. Certainties for TV IMO.

Sympathies with Macc on the Journey to Portsmouth for a probable thrashing.

Decent gate money though. Reminds me of last year when we lost to Lincoln and lumbered them with a long trip to Eastleigh.

Any Maidenhead United fans on here? Bit of a crap draw for them as its likely to be Friday night as Stoke v Chelsea is the Saturday game.

I've got your lot, Didcot, Salford and FCUM as the most likely TV games. A couple of non-leaguers away at big L1 sides possible, but less likely. The media are wanking themselves in to a frenzy over Salford so expect them to be on as dead certs.

BBC have got a documentary out on the Salford thing in the next few weeks, imagine that Salford vs. Notts is almost guaranteed to be their Friday night game.

Pompey away, probs the best away draw possible I'd say. No chance of tele, hopefully cheap tickets and get 12/13k in the ground instead.

Whitehawk on Twitter: "Hawks handed a home tie against either Tranmere or Lincoln. Five years ago we were County League. Oh. My. Word."

Fair to say this would be their CUP FINAL.
It's fair to say their fan(s) is/are fapping over this one. I expect the red carpet treatment when they find out CrazyImp might be coming to town, a glass of Moët ready at the bar, personal shoe shiner, etc.

Hopefully St Albans is a straight pass through to round two, one of the best draws possible. Wouldn't be surprised to see us lose though, we've lost to Chasetown and Bath before.

Salford and FCUM are gimme's. If there's 4 live ties then we've got a shot, if it's just the 3 then I imagine Didcot will get the nod.

I'd be despondent if I followed Diamonds but I'm a glass half empty kind of guy, Grays or Welling at home is a more than winnable tie (provided you get past Barwell, here's hoping).

Bradford at home. Possibly about as uninspiring as it gets.

FCUM won't be on tv, it's a home game for them so they'd decline coverage.

Likely candidates for TV

Didcot v Exeter - lowest team left in the FA Cup against a league team
Sheffield United v Worcester City - big club against a non league team
Salford City v Notts County - being owned by ''The class of 92'' its a sure thing this will be televised
Wealdstone v Colchester - mainly due to the obsession this country has with the ''Raider''
FC United v Chesterfield - The press seem obsessed with the rise of FCUM

What are the odds Salford v Notts County is BBC's Friday night game?

They'll be no money left to split by the time expenses for us/Tranmere's travel and overnight are taken out of the pot!

I'm personally looking forward to it, I know we've played each other in recent years in League 2 but I'm sure there could have been worse draws for you.

Solid, will take that.

We've got the players good enough to rise to the occasion. Wimbledon will be tough, but we've got nothing to lose and have more of a chance this time then in any of our league meetings.
Keanu Marsh-Brown scored the winning goal on his last visit to Kingsmeadow.

You are welcome to that Lincoln. We will have to settle for beating you twice in the League instead.

Only the division below us and doing well with all their cash and 200-300 fans.

Is this competition STILL GOING ON? Feels like ages since we were unceremoniously dumped out of it (in what I think constitutes our only defeat since end of August - we always save our very WORST for the FA Cup)

I would imagine it'll be on the Sunday. If it's the Friday or the Sunday I'll travel up for it.

Maidenhead are a solid outfit this season, Port Vale need to be careful.

We usually play Friday if switching because of Stoke as we have a dreadful record on Sundays! I gather from Smurfs tweet though we are looking at Sunday as an option though. Tricky game, we played a decent Dartford side from that level a few seasons back (although we were League Two) and hammered them at home in a replay but were lucky to get the draw at their place and we found Ford United of that level tricky 10 years back so we will have to be very professional about it to ensure no banana skins are slipped on!

I think the BBC have an idea to have 7/8 games on Sunday and they tie those into some TV program or other on the Sunday afternoon - live goals and all that. I've not been to Vale Park so it's a good excuse as I know a few who will be travelling up there. Not far from Berkshire either.

Gotta be one of either salford, fc united or didcot televised. Everyone likes a minnow on the up beating higher team. I enjoyed the execrer v warrington game last season. A sunday game would be great on tv

Only Lincoln fans would whinge about the chance for a trip down to a new ground in one of the best cities in the country.

Wanted anyone at home for us, so fairly satisfied with St. Albans away. They're struggling this season, so it's a very good chance of getting into the 2nd round. Any National League Southers seen St. Albans this season?

After sleeping on it, I've decided I can't be bothered with a hellish 6+ hours each way on congested UK roads to see us play Whitehawk. I hope we roll over at Lincoln tonight.

FA Cup magic isn't lost on me... ;)
