We got through even though Newcastle did have the better of the chances.

Deeney winner sort of summed them up - bad back pass latched onto and the 2nd half was pretty scrappy but we shaded.

Newcastle fans not happy!

The holders through. Unless we get good, home draws I can't see us winning it this year, with irons still in the fire in the league and in Europe (temporarily...) I predict we'll go out to the first Premier League team we play away from home. Didn't see today's game but apparently Iwobi was good?

Listened on the radio to our game and it sounded like we dominated it but shot ourselves in the foot twice.

Story of our season tbh. We are a soft as fuck side with barely any strength.

8 defeats in 10. This board need to wise up and spend some money to make up for that awful business we done in the Summer. I can see us going down this season. Zero confidence in the team, zero confidence on the bench.

Koeman will walk at the end of the season imo.

I was there and we dominated the game, even the 5-3-2 was working, which we changed in the second half. But I'm sure, you, like me has seen Yoshida run up the pitch, only to lose the ball on the centre circle and then let the opposition side through on goal many times before, which was the first goal. Whilst the second goal, well I'll leave the highlights to show how shit Stekelenburg did with it. Also Tadic was massively at fault for the second goal.

It's no surprise that we now can't defend having lost Forster, Clyne, Alderweireld and Schneiderlin this season and replaced them with bit parts. Although the alarms should have been ringing when we dropped out of form at the end of last season.

We could have carried on playing for a few more hours and we probably still wouldn't have scored, as Mane is off form and the rest of the midfield are a load of Paul Wotton's, lacking a clinical striker too, with Long and when Pelle and Rodriguez are back, they miss more than they score too.

Well that's the worst I've seen Watford play since the debical against wolves on Boxing Day last year, yet we won. Strange game sometimes.

The Newcastle players seemed to be having a completion in who could miss the most sitters and we scored with one of maybe two attacks we had all game. Either way into the hat for the next round where we are bound to draw one of Chelsea and City as we have managed in 5 of the last 6 seasons.

The Geordies were loud but they turned very toxic in the 2nd half, one of the most toxic away followings I can remember. I'm sure that villa may give them a run for their money in our second last home game of the season though, especially if they are down.

Hopefully we can be as lucky in 2 weeks but I get the feeling will are bound to lose!

Really missed Capoue and Ighalo whilst we improved when Abdi and Anya came on..

WTF was that clown in goal doing for their second goal?

He was decent, excellent dribbling and willing to shoot, just lacked a little on decision making. I thought Campbell was the real bright spot though, the right side with Bellerin caused Sunderland all kinds of problems. Ox looked better today than he has the past few games too.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Jeez, Bolton were lucky. There'll be no one at the replay, unfortunately for them. And Bolton.

I'd agree that Bellerin and Campbell were our two best players in that game. I also thought Gibbs had a good game, but Ox was more frustrating than effective.

I'm not sure playing Giroud and Walcott for the entire game was the best idea either. I know we're down to the bare bones with the first team squad, but for me that's more reason to protect the players we need for the league.

Excellent first half of football in the Oxford United vs Swansea match. End to end and fast paced. 1-1, Nordfeldt has made a few good saves but Oxford equalised through a penalty.

Pretty much our second string v Spurs with only Schmeicel and Kante the usual definite starters. They've left Kane on the bench, look about half n half for their regulars and second string with Son up front.
Gray gets his debut handed to him and Chilwell gets a start with Schlupp out and Fuchs rested. Not much on the bench other than Mahrez.
Now or never for Inler. I'm guessing never.

A very good effort from Scunny today against a very strong Chelsea team. Scunny should of had a penalty in the second half with the score at 1-0, but the ref didn't give it and they also had a few half chances, but to only concede two at Stamford Bridge isn't bad at all with the team that Chelsea put out.

Lot of talk round here about some grief in one of our local pubs where some young Villa 'lads' bought back this item from their day out in Wycombe...

Apparently some older Villa fans drinking in the same boozer took exception to it ending in a brawl between the two sets of Villa fans!! The gaffer of said pub has apparently been in touch with WWFC looking at returning the wheelchair.

This following on from the videos emerging of their fans attacking the players for the second week running..

Shocking, wonder what they'd do if they ever had some seriously hard times..

Well we have a decent record at the City Ground.

Good incentives for Northampton/MK Dons and Carlisle/Yeovil.

They can cheer themselves up by having a good old boo at Fabian Delph. If they beat Wycombe. Obviously.

Jesus, for potential upsets, thats one of the best FA Cup draws I can remember. Some cracking TV games there:

Northampton/MK Vs Chelsea
Colchester Vs Spurs/Leicester
Ipswich/Pompey Vs Bournemouth (especially if Pompey make it through)
Oxford/Newport Vs Blackburn
Carlisle/Yeovil Vs Everton
Wycombe/Villa Vs Man City (Obviously a great tie if Wycombe get through)
Exeter/Liverpool Vs West Ham (Again obviously if Exeter go through)
Derby Vs Man Utd
Eastleigh/Bolton Vs Leeds (Once again if Eastleigh go through)

Just wait for some crap game like Palace Vs Stoke or Arsenal Vs Burnley to make it through though

Liverpool v West Ham is a terrible choice but all the rest are good choices.
