Nothing wrong with Evatt statement..............
Well there is one little teeny tiny thing wrong with it - Bolton are not the best team in the League.

As a fan of the winners’ opponents, I personally think they should be playing this replay on the Friday night prior to the second round game at a neutral venue. Somewhere like Inverness would be ideal. ;-)

Pleased for the Poolies, will certainly give them some confidence coming down to Sincil Bank. Will probably a bigger gate now it’s not versus Wycombe too.
Great away day Lincoln, loads of pubs on that main road upto the ground.
We've got a pretty good record there,on our last few visits.

It'll be funny if Bradford lose again though. What happens with Bradford's red card and our yellows? Are they rescinded? Will Matt Jay's goals be taken off his scoring record?
Why will it be funny? We didn’t lodge a complaint the FA looked into it after the March report we’ve done nothing wrong but have to waste day. I’d have happily just taken the loss and Exeter receive a fine or something.

I hope no City fan is daft enough to go down again I’d send the reserves down.

A truly pointless outcome which benefits nobody.

It will be funny purely because of Adams. Nothing against your fans, but the bloke is an arse.

I think city fans have huge respect for Bradford, it's just that Derek Adams managed Argyle and has said some pretty aggrevating things about us in the post.

That's why there's a lot of slightly aggressive "banter" about it. Adams will always be hated by ECFC fans to some degree.

Simply because Derek is a c---
That he maybe, but our owner puts nothing into our club and we live hand to mouth on what we earn. Having to pay more travel expenses and risking player injury in a game we’ll likely lose isn’t much compensation when rules were broken even if not intentionally. Football continues to show its incompetence. The FIA gave Lewis Hamilton a grid penalty for a matter of millimetres when even the red bull boss said it wouldn’t give an advantage therefore was unlikely deliberately done. This sport may as well not bother with rules if that’s the worst that happens.

What are you on about more travel expenses? You're going to be making money from this!

Travel expenses for the club and accommodation are covered by match day gate receipts, and you also get a 50% split of the gate receipts after that. That's not even taking into consideration this game is likely to be on TV now!

We're the ones that have been punished for this. We are no longer in round 2 and have to play the tie again, due to the officials briefing BOTH teams the wrong rules prior to the game, and confirming them numerous times throughout when asked. Bradford have now been given a lifeline and can still progress to round 2.

We have to pay travel expenses out of the gate, like happened on Tuesday.

Well that’s the premier inn covered…

I’d be surprised if it’s on tv but hopefully it is, doesn’t really help when we’ve had so many injuries this season, you broke the rules even if not intentionally how can you call that a punishment when you’ll get more money yourselves!

At 4-0 we’ll make 8 subs and replay until we get the result we want. Still can’t get over this, only we would play a side that breaks basic rules and be the one who is punished for it.

The referee briefed both teams that we allowed to use 6 subs, gave us the sub cards prior to this to use, and then the fourth official confirmed it numerous times during the match and allowed it. Why would we get more money, the gate receipts are halved between us and you have no expenses. We'll get a bit of money from food/drink, yippee, meanwhile the reward money and our place in round 2 is in jeopardy.

Nice dig at our crowds.

Bradford City 1-1 Exeter City Attendance: 3,236 (238 away)
Exeter City 3-0 Bradford City Attendance: 3,509 (76 away)

And ours was a Tuesday night after we played home on the Saturday prior and the Wednesday prior to that, with another home game this Saturday!

What dig at your crowds can you read English? I didn’t mention your crowds. As for the rules one team used 6 subs one didn’t, most refs at this level are backwards anyway.

Both teams tried using 6. Evidently you're clueless on Lavery trying to come on.

'That'll cover the Premier Inn then' is clearly a dig at our crowds.

No I know he warmed up but didn’t come on did he? So what rules did we break in comparison to you?

You are the only one precious about crowds it was nothing to do with your crowd I couldn’t give a shit about your club or anyone else’s. I’m a grown man I don’t obsess over football crowds on a football forum I’m not strange but each to their own. I’m pretty certain we will be booking our own accommodation and as we do things on the cheap that’s who it was aimed…

He obsessed about ours a while ago too. Let him have his last word and be done with it. Blokes a WUM who somehow manages to WUM himself more than anyone else

Why all this fuss over a meaningless game in a tinpot cup? As a neutral fan I say give it Bradford and let's move on for gawds sake. Good thing the club I support is not that bothered about the cup as we'll only have four days to prepare for whoever goes through.

Judging by here and social media, I think our fans are more bothered about Angol's ban affecting our league game than the actual encounter with Exeter. We didn't want a replay and I think we'd have just preferred to let Exeter get away with a fine or whatever. It's primarily their lot dragging this on and on.

Look forward to looking back on this thread when Bradford have beaten us and Cambridge and get a plum draw in the third round.

We should be kicked out for being shit and getting deservedly beat and Exeter should get kicked out for breaking the rules, you should get a bye imo but football is fucked so we go again. Hope the FA don’t preach on about the environment after this making a team go to the other side of the country again plus the thousands of fans who will go to the game. The sport stinks atm.

And as Cas said a void game should void cards especially when nobody was injured if he’d have broken someone’s leg obviously that’s different.

Ha my post wasn't meant to be taken seriously. I love the Fa Cup and as a U's fan I obviously want Bradford in the next round as Exeter always seem to beat us. And another reason is that (and please correct me if I'm wrong) you Bantams are missing a few players to injury (?)

I got this hunch that the winner of the 2nd round tie will be drawn at home to Arsenal......................

Oh I didn't think you being serious.

We're only missing Andy Cook now if I remember rightly, though I think the commentary team mentioned some of our defence picking up knocks. Hopefully nothing serious. So our injury problems seem to be behind us...fingers crossed!

He did an extensive warm-up up. Stripped to come on. Went to the side of the pitch and was told by the fourth official he can't come on.

Both Exeter and Bradford were briefed before the game and during that we can have six subs. Hence why Derek didn't cry like normal when our 6th sub came on and he also tried to put on a 6th sub. It was only after ours came on and seemingly in the ET HT interval they realised their mistake.

The FA clearly agree it is not our fault and its the officials otherwise we would be booted out. Its a shame you think its our fault when the independent enquiry along with witnesses clearly show it to be an officiating issue.
