Bless 'em...Cheltenham have not moved on from Ali G as yet? I love outpost towns and their little people.

Poor Curzon. Terrible way to go out
They were very poor going forward but pretty organised defensively. We just have no creativity at the moment, just the final ball was lacking or our shooting was awful when we did finally have a go. We never really looked like conceding but I think we could still be playing this morning and not have scored ourselves. Just the way confidence is at the moment.

At the end of the day, we’re in the next round and that’s the same outcome as having won the opening game 5-0 so no harm done fortunately.

I can't see Bonner being there past Xmas. He just seems clueless about how to stop the awful run of form. He should have gone to Rotherham when he had the chance, although for obvious reasons I am glad he stay at the Shabbey.

I think I namechecked you (and Cheltenham) as one to watch this season because of how many goals you let in last season (74) and it being unsustainable/would need to be addressed, but you're currently on for 74 again - scoring less as well. Is it generally the same system and defence but lost some attackers?

Well we’ve tightened up defensively last few games, we no longer look like we’re gonna get stuffed each week. But we’re just lacking some creativity. We haven’t really let anyone (bar Hoolahan who we used about 50% of last season) but we just have a ton of players out of form or disinterested. It’s like the Rotherham interest unsettled Bonner which in turn has unsettled the team. Sam Smith in particular was fantastic last season but he’s just nowhere near that this season, it’s like he’s upset he didn’t get his summer move and now can’t be arsed. I’m sure it’s not the case that he can’t be arsed but that’s how it appears.

I think Bonner is trying to transition us into being better with the ball, keeping possession for longer periods than last season. But in doing that we’ve lost our potency up top. The energy which made us so bloody awkward to play last season and the cutting edge just isn’t there at the moment.

But an ok team doesn’t become a shit team overnight. I’m not concerned yet and I am seeing this as a bad run rather than something more serious. We’re still some distance away from relegation (miraculously) so no need for panic stations yet.

Haha, coming from the most tedious, boring weirdo ever to grace this earth!
Ho :fing:, ho :fing:, ho :fing:.

Boring I might be but I have the smug satisfaction knowing that I was RIGHT and YOU were WRONG.

You were right to namecheck them for relegation. They are both awful teams. At least Cheltenham have May up top who is a decent player. But Cambridge have nothing up top or any creativity (a decent centre half though in the one with girls hair)

Not sure that will be enough to keep either of them up though.

Who get's sacked first? McCann or Bonner, I know where my money would go.

What's Darren Ferguson up to these days? Hope he's ready come Dec/Jan.

Fergie would never go to the toilet smashers, too small time. McCann is 4th in the league so he is safe.
