Decent effort to get a draw there having been down to 10 men. Rather not have a replay but we’re still in the draw at least.
No not ideal and to note now down to 1 centre back and no Arblaster, Devine and Thomas likely due to internationals!

Lovely goal on the counter by Blackpool there. Have to admit I really hate games on plastic pitches though, if we ever did drop out of the league that would be up there as one of my biggest issues with it dealing with them.

Just about deserved to beat Carlisle, we started the second half poorly compared to Carlisle who changed shape and equalised when they was on top.

We managed to find ourselves again and found the lead again - Aaron Drinan finally scores , ironically his last goal was also against Carlisle. I thought after that we controlled the rest of the game and scored a deserved third.

Carlisle were a threat, but I always thought we looked better than them going forward - Having said that, Carlisle had us on the back foot once or twice and in the first half did carve out some threatening chances and moments, after they scored I don't think they did much else after.

Best wishes to Callum Guy, we lost Jordan Graham in similar circumstances last week at Burton. Never nice seeing any player pick up a nasty ACL type injury like that.

Great fun today. Fair play to Whitby, thought they were fantastic. Both of their goals were superb, but that 2nd was one of the best I’ve seen at the Mem, I was right behind it.

At the same time though, they couldn’t have complained if we scored 11 or 12 tbh. Onto the 2nd round!

No complaints. We can't win games if we can't score. Wigan scored a great second goal and looked busier.
Things have to change soon

Looks a harsh red that for Smudge on the highlights as their lad is wide and there is a covering man in Sang that should get there.

Ryan Loft really should win that for us at the end there though that’s pretty much a tap in with any composure. Great work by Alfie Devine to put that on a plate (think that was when we were down to 9 men as well!)

Their guy was heading towards the corner flag too. Really odd decision when you look back at it. We'll get another letter on Monday no doubt. Must be quite a stack of them in the manager's office by now.

Worth an appeal considering otherwise we might only have one centre half next weekend available!

The red for Smith is fair enough in my book. It’s possible he might have gotten away with a yellow but I can’t say the ref is wrong there. Wouldn’t have happened if Funso didn’t play someone with limited football ability into trouble in the first place. No chance that gets overturned.

Smith sent off. Game over then. Fans aren’t happy about it but I’m not there so can’t comment at the moment.

Is he the one who was involved in Mark Harris's sending off at ours?

If so, I have little sympathy with him getting sent off whether deserved or not. Live by sword, die by the sword etc.

Absolutely dog shit performance. Players should be hanging their hands in shame type of game. Other than Barrow's smart simple header from a corner for their first, 3 absolutely clown goals for the rest of the game. Confidence has gone, we've moved from being edged out to one goals losses to being humiliated at the moment. Don't know if it's Calderwood going, or just Guthrie being gone, but don't even know how to handle a big man/small man combo.

Barrow's 3rd was an amazing lack of decision making/communication by your centre half and keeper.

Yep same one, I can well imagine he’s not exactly a sympathetic figure for many other clubs.

We are into the next round beating Maidenhead 2-0 with Billy Boden scoring twice.

Maidenhead made a good effort of it but although we won, we were poor. Good team goals though.

Thought Burton were dreadful today and thought we looked a class above them with 10 men. Frustrating that a team that resorts to spoiler tactics are above us in the league. Must be dreadful to watch that week in week out.

Yeah but it’s the kind of tactics that we never seem to master playing against, Accrington last season, Stevenage under Wesley and Maamria, Oldham under Maamria for example. Would be nice to wallop one of those sides for doing it but for years we never have.

The image of the foul of Uche is ridiculous.

They did it both times at VP this season, at least we’ll be able to protect Arblaster next time as he’s going to be away with England U20s.

Not sure if you’ve seen the replay but that can’t be a DOGSO surely? Their lads knocked it away from goal and it’s in the channel and Sang is in the middle to come across. Lot of work for their lad to do to score from there. Mind you think that might be Smudgers first red for us which is bonkers considering the tussles he ends up in. Not so arsed in the context of today but more than suspension with the bizzare injury crisis we have at the back.

Was a terrible ball mind from Funso.

Decent week though after the Cheltenham debacle, two clean sheets against an unbeaten side away from home and with 10 men for 84 minutes of playing time today with no defenders on the bench to tighten it back up.

There's definitely too much for their player to do to score from there. The ref couldn't wait to get his red out, whereas to me it should be an absolute last resort. It's a poor decision....again.

Stevenage away if we get through FFS. Just let Burton have that joy to be honest.

Chesterfield away for us, very tough draw, wouldn't bet against it going to a replay tbh.

Kiddy or Fleetwood at home for us. Kiddy currently beating Fleetwood 1-0.

Edit: Now 1-1

All Derby at Crewe, they just need to be more willing to pull the trigger and a goal should be a matter of time. Crewe shown little intent to get forward at all.

Professional performance against Kiddy and interesting 2nd round draw against Cambridge. Quite optimistic in as much as our away form has been more than decent.....

The longer this game is going on you can see why Derby fans have been getting frustrated this season. Seem to have a lot of the play but no idea what to do in the final third. Probably a better version of us come to think of it. Don’t think I’ve seen Mendez-Laing hit one accurate cross yet. Good on Crewe for being so organised though.

Some Derby fan picked up by the mic’s “Paul Warne your football is shit. Fuck off”. You do get the feeling he is on borrowed time now even if they turn this around.

Morecambe (H) is a shit draw, don’t like the idea of getting a team doing well in the division below, plus we’re better away.

Oh well, you get what you’re given of course. I suppose if nothing else drawing them now is marginally less depressing than if we got them in the next round.

Slough or Grimsby at home. Reasonable draw as it is at home.

It’s a diabolical decision to have our game on TV.

If there is more than 2,500 people there I’d be stunned. It will look and sound terrible and without sounding arrogant, we’re going to win comfortably.

I don’t know how much Cray Valley make with the game being on TV but the only plus would be that they make more than they would have with a slightly larger crowd otherwise the decision to show this game is pointless.
Committed the cardinal sin of underestimating how truly shit we are.
